Is NFL Ticket and/or DTV down?

Is the NFL Sunday Ticket for DirecTV and/or DirecTV itself not working right now? I don't have DirecTV here but I do have the NFL Sunday Ticket to-go plan so I can watch on the computer and PS3 and it isn't working on either the PC nor my PS3. On the PC I just get "STREAM NOT AVAILABLE" on each game and on the PS3 it just times out. It was working earlier on the PS3, albeit the video was starting/stopping which was annoying, but at least it was working.

So about 5 minutes ago I got a text from a friend in Virginia asking me if something was up with NFL Sunday Ticket as she's at a bar and they can't get a signal.

Could you guys let me know if you too are having problems or not?

DirecTV is having major problems with their Sunday Ticket service. People with the To Go service have been having problems streaming, and a lot of people trying to watch on their boxes are having their boxes completely freezing after 30 seconds of video. It's frozen three of our boxes in the house.

Their twitter and facebook pages are getting hammered right now.

yeah....the whole DTV debacle this morning sucked.

I just moved to the Portland Oregon area and I found a large group of Bears fans that watch the games together. They just picked a new bar to watch at and the bars owner went all out. Had a complimentary breakfast buffet, the some kind of vodka girls were there handing out booze, had a raffle for Bears stuff (free ticket with purchase of Miller Lite).
Then a couple minutes into the game DTV goes out.

The look on the bar owners face was "oh no....I do all of this and now everybody is going to bail because the tv goes out"

I stayed until the end of the third and purchase a couple of beers to help out....but losing 75% of your business because DTV couldn't get its act together must suck.

wow that's terrible, hopefully those people do realize at some point that it wasn't the bar but stupid directv!!

I will be calling DirecTV tomorrow and demanding a refund of $21.88 for this week. I missed the best games today, all of the early games.

I haven't heard of DTV ever having issues with NFLST, but the To-Go one usually has problems the first week because they offer it for free, so they can't handle the web traffic. It is fine the rest of the weeks.

Well today it was all of the above I guess. Like I said, I don't have DirecTV here but talked with several friends who were at bars and the NFL Sunday Ticket simply froze their boxes and when they were reset, same thing. Pretty bad for opening weekend.

Great to hear it's only free on weekend 1 though, maybe next week will be much more smooth. It damned well better be..
