Why can't I do that in this game???

There is absolutely no bullrush with the outside pass rush. They do the same animation from the OLB/DE position no matter who the players are.

Are you for real ? Its all about having the right defense scheme in this game and putting your player in position to succeed. I play with the giants and I have no problem getting pressure and sacks with any player I want

Just have to use the right formations and plays. In my franchise on all-pro I'm not even through the season and I have a DE that has 18 sacks and he's only rated 73.

Yeah but that's on All-Pro. When you play on All-Madden, when you try and do any kind of finesse move, your lineman/linebacker/corners/safeties get thrown to the ground like it's Tom Brady running at Ray Lewis.

Really? I must have a different All-Madden setting then you do then. I stick with controlling my NT, just because it can be too easy to pass rush with ends and OLBs.

I mean, do you guys ever go look at real stats? There were six games last year where Ware had no sacks. Only in four games did he have multiple sacks. The rest were 1 and half sack games. His 15.5 sacks, which obviously average out to less than one sack per game was the highest in the league.

This is also the guy that is considered one of the best pass rushers in the league.

For the most part, the offensive line wins LOS battles. And that is the way it is in Madden.

Against the cpu on All-Madden you would have no problem destroying Derrick Thomas' record with an OLB like Ware if you know what you are doing, video game football can be like that.

I think the OP was more so referring to the WAY Ware was getting pressure. It really isn't football when we have to utilize nano-blitzes to get pressure. When your safety is more apt to get a sack than your end/OLB just because he can run through unblocked faster than you have an issue with the game engine.

There is no real LOS battle in madden. The o-like kicksteps back, the defenders runs at him, they engage once, and either a block shedding animation is triggered or it isn't. That's it, over and over again.

Lol, last year people was complaining that the O line didn't block good, now that they block better then they did last year people still complain. Lol, u can't please everybody.

As always, it's impossible to get sacks with REs and ROLBs. Change him to LOLB, and he will dominate. Thats what I did with Orakpo in my franchise.
First 8 games (ROLB): 0 sacks
Last 8 games (LOLB): 7 sacks

(All-Madden difficulty)

I'm the Bills in my franchise, and I just move Merriman around. ROLB at times, LOLB at times, RE, LE, ILB. He doesn't dominate, but it helps me get pressure with him. Real teams do the same things with their pass-rushers. Just move your best guys around.
