Passing through Center Ice Question
Is there any way to basically pass it from deep in my zone to center ice and have the player receiving the puck just barely touch it as it goes by so icing is not called, allowing me a line change? You see this all the time in the NHL, and I was just wondering if there was a way to do it in the game. I've just been receiving it then dumping it into the corner. It works, but doesn't look as cool haha.

Re: Passing through Center Ice Question
There's no specific button for doing something like that. You pretty much just have to get a lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you look at it) bounce off your stick. -
Re: Passing through Center Ice Question
What happens if you try to one-time the pass? Can't say I ever thought to do this, but I suspect it probably won't work well. The only other thing I could think of would be to switch to the receiver and attempt a one-touch pass by holding R-trigger before the puck gets to him.
Good idea, though. It's little suggestions like this that sometimes can be slipped into the game if someone brings it up. Good example of this, pressure sensitive kick-outs from board play... I said something to Redshirt at NHL11 community day and the next day it was in.

I'll give that a try. And here's to hoping maybe we'll get a button for it or have it more easily accessible somedayWhat happens if you try to one-time the pass? Re: Passing through Center Ice Question
I haven't talked to him personally in quite a while. He could be reading, but not posting and I hope he returns to give us info like tuner/patch notes. If he doesn't, I assume the same info will be on the EA forums.
Umm, care to share?Comment

Re: Passing through Center Ice Question
Just hold in shoot like you're doing a one-timer, or do a one-touch pass. You may not get a realistic-looking redirection of the pass depending on which way your guy is facing, but it should work as long as you aim the one-timer or one-touch pass into the attacking zone.Comment
