Re: interference not being called on hipchecks?
Funny you mention this, I was messing around in BaP and noticed that I could hip check anyone at anytime, get credit for the hit, and not get penalized. how weird.Support Local Sports

Re: interference not being called on hipchecks?
Most penalties don't get called even when it's all on max.
I was intentionally slashing a guy for quite some time and nothing was called until 20 or so times that I slashed someone. Even with authentic post whistle stuff,I can hit guys 4-5 times and no penalties.Comment

Started a thread about the "new" hip check, and the lack of penalties for using it; http://www.operationsports.com/forum...penalties.html

Re: interference not being called on hipchecks?
How do you intentionally slash someone? Did they bring that back from NHL08?
As for the hipcheck/interference BS... yeah, that needs to disappear ASAP.Comment

Re: interference not being called on hipchecks?
I'm not seeing this, I'm seeing a few missed calls as it should be, I even got a checking from behind call trying a sweeping hip check near the boards, when the offensive player turned his back to me, but the "legal interference" need to be made illegal.Comment

Re: interference not being called on hipchecks?
I would think that if you are stationary (e.g. holding your ice) and in the hipcheck position and someone runs into you, that should not be a penalty. I'm glad they don't call this. However, if you are talking about people skating into players that don't have the puck and hipchecking them, yes - they should call that.Comment
