Re: Blocking Punts
I don't know, as I haven't done it. But I'd guess that you just go in practice to get the timing down like with blocking field goals. Enjoy tackling the punter without fear of being called since it's just practice...I'm in the fight to cure cystic fibrosis, my life depends on it!

Re: Blocking Punts
I have blocked two field goals but have only gotten close once blocking a punt. I almost got one in my first season on my dynasty t since then I have got to my third year and haven not even got close.Comment

Re: Blocking Punts
I got a couple but only in situations where they usually get blocked. Pinned deep inside the 5 yard line with the all out punt block play, one of the interior guys on my defense blocked it for a safety and another one I recovered for a TD. It happens just not too oftenComment

Re: Blocking Punts
I was able to block 8 or 9 punts a season in NCAA 2011. I simply used punt return middle and took the guy on the far left, stood him up, and moved him out to the side a bit. Then, I would time the snap and run at the punter and time my dive. I haven't had as much success this year with that strategy but maybe my timing is just off because I hadn't been practicing for six or seven months...Comment

Re: Blocking Punts
I haven't blocked a punt in NCAA since 2005 on PS2. I've gotten running into the kicker calls but never have actually blocked it.
It's been since 2007 on PS2 that I've blocked a FG too.
I've all but given up that I'll ever do this on current gen.GT: Herkyalert
