I'm on PS3, and I've tried using the right analog right away, and tried holding off using it after I engage the olineman, but half the time my guy falls down.

Having problems controlling dlineman
I thought I'd post this just in case anything has changed post patch. But does anyone have the issue of dlineman falling down or going into a robotic trip forward where you lose control of them? Any advice from anyone that's figured it out, can it be figured out, or is this just another thing EA screwed up?

Re: Having problems controlling dlineman
I've stopped controlling d-lineman because of this. If I take a LB they seem to get better pressure anyway.
80% of the time my lineman that I controlled would get pancaked or tripped.
The only way I found to get around that is to take a lineman and move him to to the right or left around the player next to him, but that seemed like cheating to me.
Just control linebackers and you'll get sacks. I've gotten more that way than when I used a lineman.GT: Herkyalert

What do you mean take the lineman around the player. For example, I'm controlling the DT in a 3-4, do you mean loop him around either DE?I've stopped controlling d-lineman because of this. If I take a LB they seem to get better pressure anyway.

Yes. If you move them around other linemen it reducing the chances you'll get knocked down. Same thing if you take the LE and manually move him over to right of your RE or vice versa.GT: Herkyalert

I gotcha. You're right, that does seem a little cheap. Might have to just give up using dlineman then, kinda sucks thats my option.Comment

What I don't understand is that animation where the OLineman gets pushed flat on his back then the defensive player stumbles and takes forever to regain his balance. I'm not sure I've ever seen this exact scenario happen in real life (in particular, the inability to do anything with the defensive player for a full 3 seconds after the animation starts) yet it happens at least 3 or 4 times a game on NCAA 12.Comment

I hate that animation. It always seems to help the offense out by creating a huge hole to run through. What I don't understand is that animation where the OLineman gets pushed flat on his back then the defensive player stumbles and takes forever to regain his balance.
