Not a lot of fumbles this year. The only way to see them without using that cheesy strip ball game plan is the hit stick. Make sure you hit bigger guys low and smaller guys high with big hitting defenders.

Actually I am just as concerned about the human player not fumbling as I am making the AI fumble.

I have a friend of mine who has fumbled 7 times in the past 2 games. He's a level 9 and hardly ever fumbles, so maybe there is an excess of fumbles going on?

Very true. I started a thread on this subject weeks ago but most users liked the lack of fumbling which I found hard to understand. This game has always been unbalanced in the TO department. Too many INTs and not enough fumbles, but the lack of fumbles this year is glaring.

I can think of two fumbles in the month I've had the game. I like it. Anything that encourages less luck and more skill is good in my book. Lost to too many cheesers last year only because they would get a lucky fumble.

I've been very disappointed with the lack of fumbles (mostly for my guys) in this game. Here are my rushers in my dynasty through 5.5 seasons sorted by carries. The only ones with fumbles are my QBs (Mosley, Robinson, Gardner). Even though my QBs have tons of fumbles, I'd guess that 40-50% of those are on bad pitches (I'm a run-first spread option guy that runs the ball 60+% of the time).

The #1 ball carrier in my dynasty ran the ball 354 freaking times without ever once putting the ball on the ground. He was a power back who ran mostly between the tackles and that simply shouldn't happen.

I am sure EA did this to cater to the online crowd. That is their MO lately. The online crowd gets upset because something seemingly "beyond their control" causes them to lose a game, they get up in a lather so EA removes sim elements of the game.

Thats Rock Bottom. How can fumbles be all but removed in an NCAA football game? Definitely need a patch.

Seriously, I seem to have enough fumbles. I had a game where I was Ohio State and I was playing Akron and they fumbled at least five times that game.

I have seen quite a few fumbles.

What are your sliders and were they from strips, big hits? Who was fumbling? RB's, WR's or QB's?

I posted this in the sliders forum but I am using DJ's All-American set based off SEC's with the Community Rosters...

I think I've only fumbled one time in 7 games with this set and it was my QB on a sack. I run a lot too. I've forced 3 and recovered 2 fumbles on defense in this time-frame.

Not counting bad pitches, I fumble maybe once every other game or so, maybe not even that much. I also cover the ball a lot (brace for impact) when I am running inside (isos and slams/blasts) or on off-tackle stretch and power runs which together constitute about 85% of my run plays (I sweep and option very little).

I use the hit stick a lot, and manual strip on a lot of tackles. I only set the strategy to strip if it's late in the game and I'm losing. I usually see 2-3 fumbles or more a game for the CPU, not counting bad pitches or overturned challenges that weren't really fumbles to begin with.

I still experience fumbles, but really only when my recievers and returners get blasted before I can cover up, or my QB gets sacked. My RB's hardly ever fumble.

I never really noticed a problem, but I tend to chalk it up to me covering up a lot while running the ball, and stripping/hit-sticking a lot while on defense. To me that seems realistic. I play exclusively offline though, so YMMV.
