Certain original XBOX games can play on the XBOX 360 they're know as being backward compatible.

You really didn't need a whole thread to ask this its a basic question and reading a bit would have saved time and space.

Normally I wouldn't have answered something so common,if purchased used from Game Stop and most respected dealers they label a yellow sticker on it with a small BC in parentheses also before purchasing ask the seller to be certain.

It stands for "Backward Compatible" meaning it can play on the 360 as well as the original XBOX....read.

Unless you asked about the 4GB version, he did not tell you the truth.

Perhaps your question was to general bro there are three XBOX console versions currently in use now, the original XBOX which is not supported but still being used by gamers such as myself to play games made at that era and time.

Then there is a newer XBOX console call the XBOX 360 that can and does play certain original XBOX games known to be backward compatible and is supported.

What you need to do is be more specific in your inquiry and ask him about the previous XBOX 360 version the console before the slim version which is the evolution of the next generation XBOX commonly know as the XBOX 360 slim.

Hope that helps but trust me he must not have understood your inquiry as to which XBOX console you want to play NFL 2K5 on....ask him again and be more specific you want to know about the XBOX 360 and its playing abilities for original XBOX games not the slim.

You can play 2K5 on a 360 commonly known as the Slim. I have an XBOX 360 250GB hdd purchased new around a year ago and playing 2K5. I can't install the game to hdd, but I can play it with no problems.

Yes, it will work. I have a 360 and no problems other than I can't install game to hdd.

Both the original 360 and the Slim 360 are capable of playing 2k5. The only requirement is that you have to have a hard drive (since all OG Xbox's shipped with a hard drive).
