    F1 2011 Steering Wheels

    Hello everybody!

I just got my copy of F1 2011 (PC) and I must say that after running two races (one in the dry and one in heavy rain) playing with the keyboard is extremely tough... I feel very disconnected and out of control because I can't make precise adjustments to my line and entry speeds.

Do any of you suggest a wheel that I could use? I have heard many a good thing about the G25 & G27 series from Logitech but I really don't want to drop lots of money on a wheel in case I don't end up using it much (Poor college kid here).

This could be general steering wheel suggestions too for the consoles, everybody can pitch in to this thread.

You can't go wrong with either a G25 or G27. I have a G27 and absolutely love it. You can usually a catch a dented box deal by Logitech but you have to jump on it quick as they do not stay in stock very long.

Get the Logitech Driving Force GT. It's around $100 if you buy it online, works for both PC and PS3, and is a quality wheel for the price.

I just bought the Carrera wheel from Fanatec. The wheel has been discontinued so right now you can get the wheel and their stand for only $200. Fast shipping too as it was at my door just three business days after I ordered it.

Though not useful for F1 2011 it comes with a 6-speed shifter and a clutch pedal and it feels really nice.

if youre going to get a fanatec wait until the new csr line comes out in a couple months. if your looking for something solid but cheaper the logitech dfgt is great and you can find them for 100$ or less online at newegg sometimes. i own a g27 and fanatec pwts and have tried the logitech dfgt and its great for the price and in f1 you dont really need a clutch.
