Areas in which NBA 2k12 still needs to improve?

    A few have the game.

Wanted to know what stands out as not being awesome, not being good enough and just plain annoying.

IF there's anything that sands out...let me know.

I've heard the passing game still hasn't improved that much.
    Anything else?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

As you know I will use this information for the greater good

I don't have the game yet but I would really like to know if player lock is any better. It was serviceable last year, but whoever you were locked as had to carry the team. At times I found myself having to manually force my teammates to shoot the ball.

            No, that's irrelevant.

Keep updating the graphics, players faces, more hair options, an option to import an image of your own face and put it on a player perhaps? (I can't help but imagine someone inserting a picture of an **** ahahha)
Also basic things like AI and etc.

They said that they improved the AI extensively to make it more human-like. If this is really noticable this should help in a large number of areas but especially the player lock feature and MyPlayer.

ASSOC-more in depth draft scouting (ability to draft franchise changing players , more analysis from announcers on drafted players)
more realistic in season trades , stats , fix bugs

GAMEPLAY-passing,dribbling,overall lack of quickness in movement . you can argue all you want about realism but in real life it doesnt take 2 seconds to catch a pass and make a move . still very laggy to me . basketball is about quickness and explosion and the only place i see that a little is in the post moves .

PLAYER MODELS-good but still need some work at times they look too robotic unless its a cut scene .

MORE LEGEND TEAMS -how about every team have accurate roster specific players from certain past seasons ?!

more legends again like Reggie Miller , Charles Barkley , David Robinson , Dr J , Nique , Cousy etc..

PRESENTATION-Crowd ai needs huge upgrade as far as when to cheer , boo , chants etc ..
                halftime show

How about a mode for classic rivalry playoff series ,
                heat vs knicks
                pistons vs bulls
                celtics vs lakers
                etc

Re: Areas in which NBA 2k12 still needs to improve?

-SIGNATURE WALK UP ANIMATIONS! bring them back please!

-Having th AI walk the ball up

                    - I feel like there's a good variety of animations but more basic dunks just with little subtle differences would add to the organic feeling.

-when players jump up for rebounds there bodies need to flow more freely it looks alittle robotic with both hands going up at the same time

-have a different use for icon+right stick passing. Make this initiate flashy passing?

                    - use the X button for total control passing. Have x as "shoot" as an alternate control scheme so those who like it can still play with it

-More contexual bumping animations, definately seeing the same one over and over is alittle annoying

-playing FIFA 12 made me realize how little changes in animations ex. Arms going up, legs moving, head cocking back all add to the organic feeling.
-I'm glad they added the speed dribble back in but fast players like lebron or wade, wall etc should have an accelerated dribble animation that's not the push out in head one. Also add in different push dribbles to add some variety

-I believe the push out in front dribble is really only used in real life if there is a steal and the person who just got the ball is alittle bit in front of the man so he uses the push dribble knowing there's no one in front of him and it's a foot race between him and his parallel defender.

-Some animations need to be accelerated in speed.
-when a player dunks the ball or shoots the ball needs to go through the hoop a lot faster and bounce on the floor. I hate seeing a dunk or shot go through the net and the ball bounces off the top of a players head or rolls down their shoulder. Perhaps tune the AI so they go to a made basket more casually.

-with some blocks this happens where the ball bounces off heads and shoulders which is why I believe the animation or physics of the ball need to be sped up allowing their to be actual loose ball moments. Blocking a shot and the ball hits the deck rapidly and two players chasing after it would be intense.

-if two players are chasing after it why not add in some physics like FIFA for jostling and pumping trying to get possession. Would affect off ball movements as well and liven up the play without the ball

-bring back dual player control where you can ask for a screen etc. Made some possessions fast and fun.

Saying all this of course I don't expect it to be in next year or even the year after that but when that day comes I'll be one happy camper. It's all about looking at it from a realistic approach.

Another thing I'd like to add is when selecting jerseys why not have the year those jerseys were worn instead of the stupid retro 1, retro 2? Would be alittle detail that would be really cool to see. Even NBA live had this!!!!

Computer players should control teams properly. In real life, Paul Pierce wouldn't be passing the ball to Krystic instead of running an ISO and Rondo constantly attacks in order to have the def suck in towards him.

Remember when 2k sports said something like "we fixed the computers spidey sense"(unrealistic reflexes, ability to deflect and steal WAY too many passes even if they're not looking)? Yeah they were really lying out of their asses on that one. sheesh 2k come on really? you know it was a big problem last year but instead of just fixing it you lie? That's a damn shame. And i agree with whoever said it shouldn't take 2 seconds to catch a ball. I notice these stupid slow down/fumble with ball animations, happen usually when i pass to somebody who's wide open. It's like the game goes "we can't just give him an easy basket without cheating or bs, that would be too fair! Quick make him fumble with the ball for no damn reason so the computer can catch up and contest the shot" A better translation of difficulty is needed.

With that being said, i like what i've seen from some other areas of the game so far.
