Salary fix??

I am confused as to why the actual contracts of this years rookies are not updated (Cam Newton is not getting $70M for 6 years). I have noticed several updates to player contracts as the weekly roster updates are unveiled, why no changes to the rookies?

My theory: EA is lazy and hates Cam (which would also explain why he has a mustache).

I mean, it's not just Cam...I KNOW they can fix it because I have seen new contracts show up on the roster updates (Chris Johnson, Haloti Ngata, etc.) I would love to see them fix the rookie salaries for this year's class.

It looks like they made the game before the new CBA was finalized and decided not to update the game to match. So that means the game is still using the old CBA rules. I'm guessing thats why the rookies are making a ton of money.

Why can't they allows us to edit player contracts? It's pretty ridiculous! We should be allowed more roster freedom. Why not fully allow us to edit all things about a player? Roster management with this game isn't fun at all.

You can if you edit position, release, & re-sign them to what ever you $$$ want.
Works in existing franchises too, if you're a freak for realism.

I meant straight out let us edit player contracts & not worry about going that route to get it done. Thanks!

Believe me I been lobbying for this more than anyone on this board as of late. For me, if NCAA can patch in the ability to edit height and weight of a player, than I see no problem on why Madden can't allow us to edit Contracts.

What EA needs to realize is that the more customization they give us, the better it is for the game.

Yep! I wished some coder(where you at Vlad?) would come up with an editor for these EA Sports games. Would give us the freedom with rosters that we deserve. It's like we're kids having our candy taken away. The roster management/freedom with their sports games are very lacking!

EA developers want to give a despicable and non-editable game that doesn't give way to user friendly customization, and it show's another reason why it's still lacking to it's superior nemesis 2K Sports. SMH in disgust that hope was lost once again for the Madden series.

I miss the ability to edit height, weight,salary, age too.
EA lets us edit all of the above for NHL12, plus no need for gold to D/L rosters.

You're right! It doesn't make any sense! Why can't we get an explanation as to why from EA Sports? Having the ability to do edit more from the rosters would allow us to create more real-life players. These fake players from franchise could be made into real FA players & therefore eliminate the need to see all of these fakes flooding the rosters. It's ridiculous!

BTW, cutting these fake players gets them to disappear totally from the game. What the heck is that all about? It's a very poor implemetation of the expanded rosters. If they're going to disappear then what good would it do to be able to fully edit them anyhow? If they're ever cut from rosters they're GONE!
