Recruit signed that I never recruited

After week 5 of the offseason recruiting I am getting commits from players that were never on my board and were never offered a scholarship. All of my recruiting assistance is turned off and I have filled all of my position needs each year, this is the 3rd year it has happened to me. Most of the players are 3 star and below and no contribution to my team. The only thing I know to do right now is write down my recruiting class each year and then go and cut any FR who I didn't recruit and was randomly added.

Anyone else having this issue and how do you fix it?

I have had the same thing happen to me. All my needs are filled and they were never on my board and all assistance is turned off. I wish I knew how to stop this from happening.

From what I've gathered, through years of dynasty, is that this cannot be turned off. It seems the CPU simply fills out your 25 scholarship allotment (or tries to, anyway).
Basically, if you have 15 spots available, and you sign 10, the CPU will find 5 others to fill your limit.
It's a not an ideal way to deal with it, but you just have to cut them.
What I'd like to see is expanded roster space to accommodate the true-to-life limit of 85. Not that it would alleviate this issue, but maybe there would be fewer cuts.

Dang, that's what I was worried about. Like I said I just cut them, but I have debated keeping them a few times, in my SDSU dynasty the random recruits gave me two guys from Florida which made it a pipeline for me, so then I had Cali, TX, and Florida. I cut them anyway because it felt like cheating to get them that way.

I consider them walk-ons. I don't ever recall getting anything over 3-stars, so, really, depending on your school's situation, they are either possible backups or depth.
I rarely keep more than two or three of them, mostly because, as said, they are of such low caliber that they don't do much for me.
But, that said, I will keep O-linemen (where depth of any kind is good), and usually corners (again, because depth at that position is good).
I've never even considered the pipeline effect. I'll have to keep an eye on that. I just started an Idaho dynasty (in year two as OC, 8-5 in year one) and would love to snag an additional state, especially a Florida or Texas.
