Redskins are just too solid this year, everything the Eagles are doing wrong the Redskins are doing right.
21-10 Washington, I think it's going to be a rough day for Vick.Kenny Bell with quote of the year: "I would play for Bo Pelini against Satan himself and a team of demons at the gates of the underworld."Comment

This is from Don Banks' power rankings over at cnnsi.com
I agree 1000%. Skins need to run, run and run some more. I like the skins to win, but I wouldn't be shocked if this the week Philly plays like a "Dream Team". 21-17 Washington. There's going to be a fight among Redskins rushers to see who gets the lead role this week against the porous Philadelphia run defense. If I'm the Shanahans, I run Tim Hightower, Ryan Torain and Roy Helu all at the Eagles, all game long. I wouldn't make Rex Grossman win this game unless it becomes absolutely necessary. If Washington has to throw more than 20 times on Sunday, something went wrong with the game plan.

If Philly scores 28 or more, I don't think Washington can score enough points to win.Moderator

Key to Redskins win Defense and sticking to the running game.
Don't make Grossman have to win the game because he will more than likely lose it.
Offense:Pound Pound Pound
Defense: Do not lose sight that the Eagles are still a high powered Off and they perform...Just the Turnover margin is Dreadful. Force Turnovers.PSN: TBD

Re: Week 6: Philadelphia Eagles (1-4) @ Washington Redskins (3-1)
Cooley and Davis should lead the Skins in targets this week. Win or lose, if they don't, it was a bad gameplan.
Are Peters and Cole still out? If so, there really is no reason to think the Eagles should win this game... and of course, it's the backed against the wall with no hope left games that a good team ends up pulling out. It could be a 10 pt victory by the Skins or a repeat of the PIT/TEN game from last week with the Eagles playing the role of the Steelers.Comment

Suck for Luck....... I just hope someone actually tackles Reskins' players.
They're both probably out this weekend, then use the bye week to get healthier and hopefully play the week after that.Cooley and Davis should lead the Skins in targets this week. Win or lose, if they don't, it was a bad gameplan.

Re: Week 6: Philadelphia Eagles (1-4) @ Washington Redskins (3-1)
That's going to make things rough. DRC played last week, right? I know he was hurt too. I don't know if the Eagles will have their bingo calling "consultant" before this game but at the very least they need to start playing more man to man so Aso can feel more comfortable out there. I would've thought the first thing the D coordinator would do is build a defense that takes advantage of his strengths specifically, and having those corners in general. Maybe that would put more pressure on the LBs guarding TEs in the middle or RBs coming out of the backfield?Comment

Re: Week 6: Philadelphia Eagles (1-4) @ Washington Redskins (3-1)
Cole is probably out but don't ignore the fact that they still have 2 of the top sack leaders(Babin and Jenkins)playing as well.
But I agree with Rob, don't make Grossman have to do more than he should in this game. Just hand the ball off to Hightower or whoever is in the backfield and have him convert the ocassional 3rd down here and there. If he can do that, then the Skins should be alright but the last thing they need to do is try and get into a shootout with the Eagles. Never has been the Skins MOs nor should it be, so the Offense should do just enough for them not to put the Defense in awful situations.
If the Skins win, I expect 980 and The Fan to already start drawing up Playoff Scenarios and how they can clinch HFA as well.#RespectTheCultureComment

Yeah wasn't ignoring those guys, but a GOOD gameplan shouldn't give them too many chances to do too much damage.Cole is probably out but don't ignore the fact that they still have 2 of the top sack leaders(Babin and Jenkins)playing as well.

LOL @ 980 and The Fan. Honestly, all they're really talking about (right now) is how a Skins win will knock the Eagles out of the playoffs which I think is pretty much about right.Comment

Re: Week 6: Philadelphia Eagles (1-4) @ Washington Redskins (3-1)
Well...Ryan Torain was hurting us in the 1st half of one of our matchups last year. Could be in for a long day. However, if there's a team that can be made one-dimensional though it's this offense. Stack the box and let Asante and Asomugha man up!
Limit the turnovers...or just play turnover free football...and they can win. With that said, no Jason Peters likely means Vick will be hit hit/hurried all game....and will probably fumble at the most inopportune time.
Juqua Parker needs like 3 sacks to make up for last week.
Philly needs a win here and I don't care how they get it.Last edited by JBH3; 10-13-2011, 06:31 AM.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Week 6: Philadelphia Eagles (1-4) @ Washington Redskins (3-1)
If the Eagles don't win this one, it is definitely curtains. I'll stop believing they can rebound. This Redskins game couldn't come at a worse time.
By history, I want to say PHI steps up and WSH steps down. That's been their MO's the last decade. And Philly's mental mistakes have been killing them, but those can be fixed. That's why I still believe PHI takes off and it begins with this game right here.
WSH is pretty decent, though. They needed a good start to get some confidence and not spiral to a terrible season. I don't know if they'll take the NFC East, but I see them with around 8 wins at worst. I think the division winner only gets 10.
I'll go with the Eagles, 28, the Redskins 20.
Starting Jason Avant, Ryan Torain, and WSH Defense on my fantasy team. Yeah...NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

I dont even know what the heck this is? Is Reid playing D this week? Im lost.
But yeah, lets go Redskins! The D is poised to murder Vick this week. Im pretty sure Vick has about at least 65% chance of missing a few plays this week or more from the potential injury he can take this game.Comment
