Credit must be given to whomever it was that came up with the speed theory of upping the game speed and lowering acceleration as it really has made for a great game of hockey.
Here we go...
Playing with 9 minute periods, which allows for more than enough PP's per team, shots, and goals. Had a game last night (PHI vs. BOS) outshooting the CPU 43-38. The next game (MON vs. TOR) where shots were just 15-12 entering the 3rd period, ended up 34-27 in CPU's favor.
Penalties are much better on All-Star, btw.
Hardcore is the gamestyle, btw.

I'm playing all 1200 games in season mode and its really kewl to play as all teams and get a chance to play as all the star players. You really get to see the difference from team to team when you play all the games. Plus, the absence of simming in the entire league makes the league wide stats perfectly competitive as the sim engine basically does nothing given that every game through the season is actually played.
