The ball clearly gets stripped before he maintains possession yet it's ruled a fumble. I challenged and of course it was upheld. I really think there needs to be some tweaking done to the challenge system, it's far too vanilla for my taste. You should be given multiple options on what you can/can't challenge depending on the play in question. You should be able to review the replay too, that's how most coaches know if it's worth it to challenge or not. Yet, if you view the replay in the game you aren't allowed to challenge.

Re: How is this a catch and fumble?
I would have to disagree and say there was definitely a split-second where the ball was pressed against his body and he had possession. If the call on the field was a catch, the replay has to show it wasn't, something it doesn't do.
I say catch, fumble. -
Re: How is this a catch and fumble?
Real football that's an incomplete, you cant establish possession or make a "football move" in a "split second". So in reality that's an incomplete but in EA virtual "reality" it registered that unrealistic quick catch&tackle animation as the receiver having possession when in real life no ref in their right mind would call that a completion happened to quick to be a possession. Meaning he never moved from catching motion to a progressive/advance motion.
Incomplete pass.Technically speaking.PSN: TBD

I see your frustration, but at the :04/:05 mark it looks like it's a legit fumble.PSN: iBall87Comment

Re: How is this a catch and fumble?
Well, it's not like they get all the calls right in RL, do they?:o
I actually like this about the game, makes it more...."human", knowing the refs sometimes mess up (just like in RL).Comment

Re: How is this a catch and fumble?
It does look like he had possession... I can't see his feet but if they were on the ground I could see it being a catch from a Ref's viewpoint.Football: Denver Broncos

Re: How is this a catch and fumble?
Incompletion. IMO the player didn't tuck the ball away at all and make a football move. Then again this is just a video game.
The challenge system in this game is garbage. Take it for what it's worth.Comment
