In NHL11 they were probably a little too frequent but it was definitely an incentive not to just run a guy into the boards. This year, I am deep into year 2 of my Be-a-GM playing everygame and have not seen one. Penalty sliders are on max... another item for the patch?

I Think I've seen one or two.
remember I managed to get a boarding, which basically was a charging which ended up in a canonball type hip check.
I'm in year one, and just started the play off in BaGM.

I've seen them, usually for boarding. I did get an odd one for charging that seemed like a weak call, but I suppose weak calls happen in real life, too, so I'm cool with it.

I've seen 4 so far in like 70 games of 1st season.
2 from boarding, 1 from checking from behind and 1 (the first one) which I don't really know what caused it lol.
I just remember I was taking a faceoff in the offensive zone, and just after the ref. dropped the puck, the call was made. The replay just showed the player (CPU-team defenseman) slashing one of my forwards before the drop (like when you try to instigate a fight) and that was all. I was so amazed to see that happen in a videogame that when I tried to see what happened it was too late :SComment

Daniel Carcillo got ejected. It showed a funny little cut-scene of him walking into the tunnel, and knocking the camera away from him.

Yep, I got a game misconduct for checking from behind just a few games back. I deserved it.
I'm learning to be pretty careful about smashing someone into the boards. Those long PK's are tough to deal with. And of course not good to be short on your bench.1969 NFL ChampionsComment

I managed to get a 2-minute 5-on-3 because of a game-misconduct. Really hard to stop. So far on those, I'm 1-2 on killing them.
I get so many penalties this year. I was coming in full-speed with a defense man, and I hit the guy as soon as he lets go of the puck, and I got charged with interference!?
Time to lower that penalty slider...Comment

100+ games now and no game misconducts. I've had a few double-minors and 2min boarding penalties but no 5min penalties.
In the games last night I was really reckless (charging, boarding, throwing in hip checks as well) all would have guaranteed game misconducts in NHL11. Nothing. Very strange.Comment
