    LT progression/regression

Anyone else notice theit LT always regresses? No matter who they are, how youngthey are or the potentila rating. I believe it's a legay gltich that has been in the game since this gen systems(360,PS30) Anyone else see this issue. I don't know if it's related to pancakes, sacks allowd or what?.... I feel like I used to depend on if your starting LT was on the depth chart as a LS? Can somone help please. I am using Doug Free in my Dallas franchise and would like an answer. I guess I could always edit him now that the patch is out?

I have russell okung, he started as an 81 I think and now has been steady as a 93 for a few years

Yeah I was going to mention Okung too. Maybe he's an exception?

Maybe it's just me or something. I'll do some simming and see.

I had a UDFA make my team as a 69 with C potential, and he's in year 3 now as a 74.. so he's improved slightly.

happens to me using the Panthers, LT Jordan Gross let in zero sacks in 3 years but has declined dramatically

I am having this issue with players from the stock rosters... not only o-line, but my linebackers don't seem to progress, but they sure do drop in a hurry. But I've had no issues with UDFA's and drafted players progressing at either of those positions.

I've noticed this too. Drafted LT and LB shot up in ovr, existing players got worse.

Any O-line that dont play and are young will progress, any O-line that you start will regressbecause if you notice when we actually play games we dont get the pancake stat, maybe 1-3 per year per player, u need to get 10+ to be considered good. This is the reason the O-line regresses

Yes, it's because of the low pancake stats in user controlled games. It happens in past Madden games too.

                    My fix is this:
You should start a second franchise with the same team and just sim the whole season and to see how the o-linemen progress after year 1. Write down their ratings that changed year-over-year. Then go to your real franchise (user controlled one) and match the progressed/regressed o-linemen's ratings to how they progressed in the CPU controlled one. This removes the tendency to regression that user controlled franchises will give for o-linemen.

                      Re: LT progression/regression

O-line on the user's team is screwed as far as progression goes because the only stats they have to judge how well they played are Pancakes and Sacks Allowed. There are seemingly no Pancakes in user played games, so players' OL are always viewed as having "bad" years and regress if they have been in the league for more than 2-3 years.

Very young players will still progress because 90-95% of rookies and 1-2 year vets progress, but once players hit 4-5 years experience, stats and playing time become much bigger factors for progression/regression.

Great stuff guys! I thought they had fixed the pancake/sacks issue... obviously not. The crazy thing is it WAS a SIMMED season where D. Free regressed. But I bet if I go back and look at his stats they were bad. At least I can fix it with editing my players. I mean he's got A potential so... I planned on test simming to see how mt NCAA class looks so I'll monitor his progression/regression. It is still VERY frustrating that this issue has been in the game since current gen(360, PS3) Hello devs!!???

Yeah it's been an issue for awhile. I use the Saints with Nicks and Evans both 93 overall and beasts, not matter what they maybe get 2 pancakes each every season. Sometimes still make the Pro Bowl and are in the running for best O-lineman yet they both digress no matter what. I don't sim my games I play them all. It's basically the same issue with RE's no matter what their rating they never play as well as they should which leads to them digressing.
