Yes we will. Eventually there will come a point in time where the NFL does not have an exclusive license for a video game and we can have an even playing field again. within the next 5 years is my prediction

I would hope so! The thing is 2k does not have to release a NFL game for people to buy. The thing that APF was lacking is an multiple year season mode. (Witch we all know that is is not what they were trying to do) That why 2k5 is still relevant now, I believe

There will not be an NFL 2k game on this generation of consoles but for next generation there is a chance that EA will not renew the exclusive license with the NFL.

TakeTwo is attempting to ink an exclusive deal with the NFL once EA's deal expires (early 2014 I believe). If successful, we could possibly see a new 2k game in summer of 2014 (NFL 2K15).

However, the mere fact that TakeTwo is actively moving in, is reason enough for EA to renew the deal. Regardless, we'll see. Hopefully, we won't ever see another exclusive deal again. Competition is a good thing, seriously.
