    Week 8: Dallas Cowboys (3-3) @ Philadelphia Eagles (2-4)

    Bring on the birds.

I hope we get another healthy dose of Demarco Murray in this one. I'm obviously not expecting a repeat 250-yard effort, but if he can get even 90 on the ground - or whatever amount you want to assign to a player establishing himself as a legitimate running threat - I like our chances.

Andy Reid is undefeated coming off a bye week as a head coach.

With the new cba, I've read that teams coming off byes are something like 3-13ish.

Let's see if Rob can back up his, 'we are gonna beat their ***,' statement.

IDC how, just find a way to win.

I like our chances. I'm pumped for this game. Eagles. Cowboys. Sunday night. Not to mention I live in Eagles' territory. Can't wait!

Romo tends to play solid/well against the Eagles aside from that 44-6 effort at the end of '08.

I'm not too worried about the Eagles. If we establish the run early and don't abandon it, I think we'll be successful. All the good Cowboys teams of the past had good to great ground games. Hopefully, Garrett is finally realizing that truth.

Trent Cole is probable....that's good news. Cowboys don't have any major injuries either. Should make for a strong contest.

This is really anybodys game. I think if philly can take advantage of the mismatches in the passing game and protect Vick for 4 qtrs we can come out victorious.

I thought Dallas would have no chance of winning this game when the season started. I'd probably just laugh if I heard the Eagles were going to be 2-4.

It's there for them. Win, Cowboys.

I know he has that big play ability, but I think the Cowboys can do just as much w/ DeMarco Murray. The guy has only 9 career TDs over 41 games.

I think the Cowboys really need this game, for one just to be a little more up in the NFC East standings. Anything they can do to distance themselves from the pack is a big help.

With that said, I'm never confident with any Iggles game because they always bring it, and this one in particular feels like a trap game. Keep the game slow so as not to play into Philly's play-style. Dallas needs to stick to the run game to set up the big passes and let the defense control this one. I worry about the Cowboys getting into a shootout here mainly because of Romo's bi-polar-clutch ability and those talented CBs of Philly. It seems at some point those guys are due for a breakout game and I'd really hate for this one to be it.

With the injury to Felix Jones and the release of Tashard Choice, it looks like Dallas is only going to have Demarco Murray and Phillip Tanner available at running back for this week's game.

I hope they can carry the load.

I don't think cutting Choice was a smart move at this time, although I did feel he just wasn't going to cut it in Dallas. They have 2 unproven running backs both of whom don't have a lot of playing experience. Had the Cowboys traded Choice before the deadline then yeah, why not get some value for him. At this point, you basically give him away to FA and deplete yourself at a spot that is unstable and unproven at this current time going into a game against a division foe.

Debatable whether Choice would have played this week anyway, given that he has shoulder and hamstring injuries, both suffered within the past week.

Either it was Irvin or Faulk, but one of them commented that Choice was cut so that he didn't seek out another autograph after the game ...might've been Sapp who said it.

I'm kinda worried about this one. If Vick plays the whole game and they don't commit all those fluky turnovers it's going to be a long day for our D.
