I've Come into some free time, and have really gotten more into NHL 12. PRE-SEASON SUMMARY
4-0 Pre-Season has Buffalo in High Spirits

If the Buffalo Sabres pre-season was any indication as to how this season will go, watch out for the Buffalo Sabres. Miller dazzled in net starting all four games, and Vanek and Ennis led a power play that went 6-12 in those four games. Even with injuries to 3 defensmen, youngsters Brayden McNabb and Drew Schiestel have stepped in and done a solid job backstopping this pre-seasons best defensive team.

    Trades:
Buffalo Trades Forward Ales Kotalik to Carolina for a 5th round pick in 2012
Buffalo Trades Defensmen Shaone Morrisonn to Minnesota for a 4th round pick in 2012

    Notable Injuries:
    D-Robyn Regehr 3 Weeks-MCL Spain-BUF
    D-Mike Weber-3 Weeks-Herniated Disc-BUF
    D-Marc-Andre Gragnani-3 Weeks-Hamstring Injury-BUF
    D-Eric Brewer-5 Weeks-Concussion-TBL
    D-Alex Edler-8 Weeks-Broken Leg-VAN

Pre-season Power Rankings have the East in front:

    Top 5:
    1. Washington Capitols
    2. Buffalo Sabres
    3. Pittsburgh Penguins
    4. Boston Bruins
    5. Chicago Blackhawks

Good luck with the sabers, will be good to see how their pay roll plays in NHL 12. Just a suggestion though, often it helps to read the other chises here and leave comments, usually when you do that those people will read your chise and leave comments as well.

      Good luck moving forward.

        I second what Dynasty said.

There was a pretty good Sabres dynasty last year, hopefully you can top it. Good luck, will follow.

Sabres' Stars Getting the Job Done!
              PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

One full season removed from a heroic Olympic performance, and a dominating Vezina Trophy winning year Ryan Miller seems to have found his hockey stride once again. In all 6 starts this year Ryan Miller has allowed just 6 goals, including a pre-season shut out of the Boston Bruins. After being named Captain of the Buffalo Sabres, forward Jason Pomminville (4G-1A-5) has been nothing short of spectacular tallying a hat-trick opening night, and is second in the NHL in scoring behind line mate Thomas Vanek (2G-4A-6). New comer Ville Leino meanwhile, has two game winning goals, in his first two games as a Sabre, the first two games of the regular season. Week 1 has Sabres fans extremely excited that maybe this year the Sabres will finally get over the playoff hump. Not to be over looked this young season are rookie replacements Drew Schiestel and Brayden McNabb who in two games this season are averaging around 10:00 TOI and are a combined +6.

The Buffalo Sabres started the season off right with a win. Jason Pominville scored three goals in his first two second period shifts, and Buffalo didn't look back. Teemu Selanne netted the only goal for the Ducks. Drew Stafford is considered Day-to-Day and will be replaced by Jochen Hecht tomorrow night as the Sabres European opening weekend continues.

Thank you! So far so good, i will note than the 5-2 win was actually 4-2 because i shot for an empty net with Miller as a joke, and some how it went in off of Vanek.

Injury bug hits again, especially on the blueline.

It was brutal, i would have kept Morisonn if i had known we would be this depleted. Schiestel and McNabb are doing good, but that's definitely short term. I'm looking into a few other options, and I'm working on a trade for a solid PK center. More to come, thanks for following! Week 2 will be up either tonight or tmrw depending on my mood after work.

Pahlsson may be a good guy to grab if your going the trade route, he does alot of PK work for me and he does well.

I'm looking into Jarret Stoll. The Kings are stacked at center, he is great defensively and in the face-off circle and good on the pk. I would package a winger for him with draft picks, or a prospect, move Ville Leino back to wing and i think i could stick him on the second line and he would do well. I'm thinking maybe Gerbe, i love him but you have to give a good player to get a good player..thanks for following I'm working on the next two updates as the week 2 and 3 games are played, also i'm considering Video Highlights.
