    MizzouRah's All Star sliders

** THESE ARE FOR A "NO PATCH" GAME, I DO NOT USE PATCH 1.04 **

Keep in mind I'm a 40 year old gamer These are more for my reference than anything.. a place to keep my settings and BAGM notes as I've finally been able to adjust some things and get back into this game, thank goodness as I love hockey.

I do NOT play on hardcore, but feel free to try these if you want and change anything you want to your liking. Comments and thoughts are welcome.

I have two weeks off of work and decided to devote a bunch of my free time into seeing if I can fine tune this game to my liking.. as always it's a work in progress.

On defaults, to me the game has way too many players falling down from hits, the CPU is very predictable, passing % is too high, goal scoring seems a bit low and my 4th line doesn't get enough ice time.

    St. Louis Blues BAGM

    Rosters: Latest

    Preseason Game 1

I forgot to write all the stats down for this first game.

What I liked: Shots, hit totals, time on attack
What I disliked: Penalties, passing % for me was 66% (good) for the cpu was 83%

Adjustments (already in v1.00): CPU aggression up and hitting power down (both 1 clicks)

Notes: Overall a fun game, the second period shot totals were 11, there was no space anywhere on the ice to mount an attack by either team.

Next game: vs Chicago (0-0-0) preseason

What I liked: Less players falling down from hits, happy so far with that adjustment
What I disliked: Penalties, but who doesn't? Passing % by the CPU is still too high
      Me: 62%
      CPU: 80%

Adjustments (v1.1): CPU Penalties/CPU Teammates penalties both up 1 click, pass accuracy up 1 click (the slider says the higher you go, the more it factors in attributes and game situation, I'll have to check some other sliders on here to see what people think of this setting, I'll see what happens with it up one click just for the heck of it)

Notes: Another overall fun game to play, the puck really seems to have a mind of its own, which it should. I still need many more games to see what does what, but it's a good start.

Next game: at Detroit (2-0-0) preseason

Not a fan of these...sorry man.

Each game I've played the CPU gets three or more goals and I can't manage to get more than one with the NY Rangers. I've played four games with these and I've lost each one: 4-0, 3-0, 3-1, 3-0 against TB, TOR, TB, BUF. Roloson, Reimer and Miller were the goalies in those games and each of them played like Martin Brodeur in his prime, making ridiculous save after ridiculous save. Miller I can see doing this, but the other two...gimme a break.

I'm playing good defense and my offense is getting great opportunities, but again the goalie is always one step ahead of me, like they know where I'm going with the puck and make a diving desperation stop each time. Even when I beat them, a defensemen magically hits the puck away, meanwhile I can't do the same to their offense.

Others might like this, but I'm not a fan...

That's perfectly fine, I appreciate your feedback.. that's why there are many sets to choose from.. I couldn't find one I liked, so in lieu of returning the game, I though I would give it a stab since I'm on vacation. We all play at different levels.

I don't have enough games under my belt yet with these to see if scoring needs to be improved, but I'll get more in tonight. You could knock down goalie screening and goalie reaction to 2 and see how that goes for you.

Just so I'm not confusing anyone, 3/6 (both) means the slider should be on 3 out of a possible 6 clicks, (both) means for CPU and HUM whenever applicable.

Sorry they don't work for you, hopefully there are some on here that work for you.

                CPU teammates 5/5

i got some penalties with this, except i play with Mk's sliders but try it in AS.

What I liked: Detroit lit me up for 3 in the 2nd period, two goals were deflections, penalties were their normal low except I took 3, the CPU just doesn't take penalties. Intense game though.

What I disliked: Penalties, but who doesn't? Passing % by the CPU is still too high
                    Me: 64%
                    CPU: 80%

Adjustments (v1.2): Pass Accuracy CPU up 1 click

Notes: So far for me, I like how they play. My 4th line is getting time and I've seen 1 breakaway in the last two games.

Next game: at Nashville (1-2-0) exhibition

I'm sorry Miz, I don't mean to poop on your parade. The Screen Goalie slider is confusing, does increasing the slider to 6 allow the Goalie to be fooled more often or does it help them see through the screen? The way it's worded, it looks like pushing it toward 6 would help the shooter, not the goalie...

The way it's worded, it looks like pushing it toward 6 would help the shooter, not the goalie...
I take nothing to heart.. not a biggie at all.

Increasing that slider will make the goalie WORSE at seeing screened shots. Likewise, decreasing it should allow the goalie to see screened shots better. (re-edit)

4/6 or default right now is giving me a good variety of goals, so I haven't really messed with that slider yet. I see a normal amount of goals scored on screens.

I watch every Blues game and they just don't score a high amount of goals, especially on screens.

                          Passing %
                          Me: 62%
                          CPU: 85%

Adjustments (v1.3): See above in RED

Notes: Passing % is still way to high for the CPU so I've adjusted passing accuracy and pass reception ease. I also want the CPU to hit more, so I've adjusted that. Too many players falling down on hits, so I lowered that. The CPU took 4 penalties and I didn't take any, this penalty thing is wacky - maybe aggression will help that?

Next game: Home Opener vs Nashville (1-0-0)
