I wish Madden would go back to the the fake faces for draft classes

I'll even take the old cartoon pics because I'm not a fan of the headshot photos they currently use. Andrew Luck looks black for example, and many on the pictures don't match up at all. Even a blank picture that have used in the past would be better I think.

Not a big deal but I'm just not a fan of this. It's fine for the fake players but it makes the imported classes look pretty cheesy.

I've never seen Andrew Luck with a black head-shot. I have, however, have seen the exact same head-shot used for Luck, Weeden, Landry Jones, and Matt Barkley.

Considering you can just reload and get all new faces until you are happy - which takes maybe 5 minutes, I would strongly disagree.

I think the new pics are fantastic, I truly hated having random cartoon characters injected into my franchise alongside Peyton Manning, Adrian Peterson, etc.

My biggest issue is that all imported QBs look "fat"/have faces like o-linemen.

I must admit I also favour the "fake" head shots because I spend way too much time staring at the frankensteinian versions this year trying to figure out from whom they were created (a chin from him, so-and-so's hairline and eyes from that other guy). It's kinda creepy!

But even with the "fakes" I've had the same head shots for several players on my teams in past too.

Maybe if they can auto-morph the fake guys, for infinite variety, they'll be on to something!

Personally, I hadn't given this much thought but I think I prefer a real face because the "fake" ones detract from the immersion. I think this was an addition made do to so many people complaining about fake faces. However, I can respect that others might prefer the fake faces so there should just be an option. Either to choose real or fake faces, or an option to edit real faces.

I like the random pictures this year for the generated draft classes, it does help a great deal with the immersion to me. On the NCAA draft classes they suck though. How much money do you think EA would make if they sold draft classes for like $5.00? They could come with real photos of the players and the players wouldn't be deformed looking.


That would just make the game too enjoyable though i guess..

Pretty sure that's not an option. Same reason EA can't put their real likeness in NCAA. They're not pro athletes yet.

Well, I use generated drafts not NCAA, and I think the faces/portraits venture on pure brilliance. 100% convincing and immersive. The only problem I have with it is that they can become repetitive (but that's probably inevitable), and when they pop up during the game as being one of the the PLAYERS TO WATCH, Collinsworth never says anything about them.

Other than that, I think it's damn near perfect. The silhouette was awful.

As somebody previously mentioned, you can just reload the class until you get the picture you want.

I personally love these pictures though. Sure, many of them get repeated, but there is some psychological difference between looking at a cartoon and an actual person's face (albeit multiple faces pieced together to make one).

For example, of all the classes I've loaded (I say loaded because my game has frozen after the first season and then the second in my newer one :\), Sean Renfree (QB from Duke) had a picture that I've never seen before! It was absolutely fantastic!

I'm somewhat curious to know why some faces are so repetitive while some really nice portraits are quite rare.
