How-to Avoid losing Roster settings after update / restart - NBA 2k12

    Hello everybody,

After I updated to patch 1.03, everytime I start the game, I lose everything what I've done about the rosters customization. My luck is that I saved a "Roster" data with different name. I've toggled the "Living Roster Update" and the third option that I don't remember now within LOAD / SAVE settings to "Off". Even so, the game insists to restore the default rosters settings. Is there a way to avoid lose those customizations?

Note: Beside to save the "Roster" with a different name I also saved with the default name, that is, with the name "Roster".

    Thanks.

You mean like you customized the official 2k roster and saved it, but since Living Rosters is set to "ON", the game keeps saving over your customized roster file with the 2k roster each time you start the game?

If thats what you mean, just save 2 differently named versions of your customized roster file next time (that way, even if the 2k roster saves over something automatically next time, which it shouldn't, it won't save over both files) and turn living rosters and autosave "OFF". Hope this helps!

      Thanks for the reply.

Everything you said I already did. Even if the "LIVING ROSTER" option within "LOAD/SAVE" is switched off, the game continues to load the default Roster configuration (I mean, it acts like I played for the first time).

About to save the file with a different name, as the original Post explained, I already did though, including saving it exactly with the name "Roster", which means that, if the game load any Roster file during the initialization process, this file should be the one to be loaded.

Note: I've forgot to mention that my console is PS3.

      Any clue?

What I'm about to try is to delete all files, including "Living Roster", "Roster", saved roster data with different name and even the default profile to see whether this procedure's gonna fix the problem or not.

Just to remember, after I updated the game with the 1.03 patch, this problem started to happen. Although the current patch applied is 1.04, the problem persists.

            Turn off auto-save

Don't name it 'roster'. Make it a unique name. Just let it keep loading the default, then always load your save file once the game loads (auto-save off is good too).

I know its a step more than you want, but I don't have any issues that way (knock on wood...haven't played in a few days)

If I turn off the auto-save feature, shouldn't I have to save the Roster modification I'd make with different name via Options/Load/Save Roster every time?
