I LOVE MLB 2K11 Franchise Mode BUT ...

So I am new to the forum and wanted to get help for a situation I'm in.

I absolutely love MLB 2k11 and just completed the 162 game franchise mode. To my disappointment, there was no official closing of the season and I seemingly can not advance to the Playoff mode. Could someone please advise what I am doing wrong? I have tried virtually everything and there is still no option of advancing to the postseason with my customized franchise team.

Help !!! I desperately want to close out this season!

Don't want to provide you with the wrong info and who knows what your specific problem is exactly. But as I recall there were reports of freeze issues and corrupted save files after playing a full season. Regardless, problems of that sort have been a chronic issue with many of 2K's games over the years, and could be what you're experiencing as well.

I'm hearing from a co-worker that perhaps the entire season is not played out w/ other team simulations but I see no option to simulate to end of season. I just see my team's calendar with 162 played-out games and that's it.

If what you're saying is true then I'm kinda devastated. Unless, there's some fix to this?

I remember hearing that last year's game (?) had an issue where if two teams were tied at the end of the year, the game wouldn't advance into the playoffs... something like that. Any teams tied in your game?

Go to schedule and simluate a few days forward. That should wrap up the season and you should be prompted to move into the playoffs. The end of the season is a bit clunky. It seems like there should be an automatic process, but I seem to remember having to sim through months at a time to get to spring training again.

I think I had the same issue. I noticed there was no option in the franchise menu to advance to the postseason, so I went to the team schedule/calendar view and pressed start. That brought up a window asking if I wanted to advance to the postseason. Try that.

This is off topic, but I need some help. During my game I have the fielding camera set to the way I want it. It's 2k9 zoomed out so it has more of a broadcast cam feel. When the computer is batting it's works, but when I bat it switches to that awful low camera from behind home plate. Any info on what I need to do to make it work while I'm batting? Thanks for any help

Bummer that you got banned. But you might check this thread anyway, so I'll try and give you an answer:

I believe you have to set the camera angle for both pitching and hitting. You can still use that camera angle, but I believe it's a separate setting.

I know this question comes way after the thread seems to trailed off, but I'm wondering if anyone had any problems advancing following the end of the post season?

I was also a glutton for punishment and toiled through a 162 season. Now that the post season has ended there doesn't seem to be anywhere to go.

I'm wondering if the 2K11 Franchise mode is for one season only, or if there is any way to move forward and continue on to subsequent seasons. REALLY hoping that it's not just one-and-done.

Yes, someone here was very helpful to me on this (this was my original thread.) Essentially you just go to SCHEDULE and click play on each day following your season end game. It will then click in to Playoff Mode.

And, yes, it will allow you to start another season! I know as I am doing it again after getting booted from the playoffs!

                      Have fun!!!

The patch added that option as the "base running camera" I believe. You have to adjust that to switch between the 2K11 option and the old option you had in 2K10.

Yes, I always recommend having a "Backup" saved file of a season, and update every few games. Or have 2 saves and alternate saving after each game. Always nice to be able to go back to a point before the freeze criteria came into play.

How long did it take you to play all the games? I am tempted to try this out.
