new to nhl 12

hey everyone! nhl 12 is my first hockey game in a long time and i am loving it so far. i just have a few questions and i don't think anyone asked these already

i play with the computer automatically subbing in lines for me but i believe in quite a few games only my top three lines are getting in. would increasing the period lengths help give all my guys ice time or should i manually change lines?

also for be a pro mode how do i change the name of my player? it's a minor issue but i can't seem to edit his/her name i can't tell it says lexi something.

You can still do manual line changes by pressing B (on Xbox) or O (on PS3) so you can choose your 4th line.

I believe you go to Be A Pro, and then there's an option for Edit Pro where you can change the name. Not 100% sure on that however.

To get more ice time out of your 4th line, mess with these two sliders - I copied them from my slider set (what I use) and I see a decent amount of time for my 4th line using 10 minute periods. Feel free to increase them to your liking depending on how much time you want your 4th line to get.

Go to Be A Pro from the main menu and on top of that list should be Edit Pro, click on that and the position you want to play and there you go.

also how does player potential work in be a gm mode? why do players in the 80's have C potential for example?
