    Rebuilding the Lakers

I would like to rebuild the Lakers everyone can go but KB. I would like to get Dwight Howard. What do you think is a trade that would work in the game? Who else should I try to trade for and should anyone on the current Lakers stay? I would like to keep this pretty realistic.

This is what I plan on doing bro. Try and pull off a trade that I've been hearing about that would help the Lakers win now and in the future without Kobe.

1st trade: Trade Pau Gasol for Kevin Love and D. Williams and a 1st rounder (realistic because of the T'Wolves GM)

2nd trade: Bynum, the T'wolves pick, Lakers 2013 Pick and Barnes and Murphy for D12 and Turk or Harper.

Leaves you with a starting lineup of:

Fisher, Kobe, Ebanks, Love, Howard and a strong bench with Derrick Williams, Turk or Harper, Daruis Morris, Goudelock, World Peace
The Buzz is Back in the Queen City. Cho........I have no idea what you are going to do in this draft man.

I was actually thinking of trading Gasol to Houston for Hill, Patterson, and one of their PGs but Minny is another option.

I personally love Minnesota's pieces and raiding them (since I control all teams in my association) wouldn't look bad because:

        1. Their GM is stupid and would absolutely take that trade
        2. They get a much needed big man and can sign free agents

The Orlando trade looks like that could happen in real life due to Brook Lopez probably being out the whole season.

Then the final Lakers roster fits Kobe and Dwight's strengths and weaknesses. And you could always trade Love for more players and start Derrick Williams and build your team around D12, Williams and Ebanks

What do you think of Beasley on the Lakers? I don't really like the idea of traded for Williams after Minny just drafted him.

Minnesota is willing to give up Williams from what I've heard. I don't like Beasley on the Lakers

Gasol for Love/Williams/1st round pick is not realistic AT ALL. Highway robbery for the Lakers.

God your dense. What has Kahn done to make you believe he would take that trade? Love just put on 20/15 last year and has cut down and looks to have a sick season. How does trading two bigs for one help them get a much needed big man? And if we are talking realism, no big name free agent is coming to the Wolves. Brook is going be out AT MOST two months, hardly the whole year.

This is the roster he started with:

                Calvin Booth
                Corey Brewer
                Bobby Brown
                Brian Cardinal
                Rodney Carney
                Jason Collins
                Randy Foye
                Ryan Gomes
                Al Jefferson
                Kevin Love
                Mark Madsen
                Rashad McCants
                Mike Miller
                Kevin Ollie
                Craig Smith
                Marc Blount
                Sebastian Telfair
                Marc Blount
                Shelden Williams

He traded Randy Foye and Mike Miller to the Wizards for the #5 pick. He trade OJ Mayo for Kevin Love. The Jonny Flynn pick was stupid, but you would have trouble finding a GM who hasn't screwed up a lottery pick.

There's not a chance in hell Kahn takes that trade. An aging big man for an all-star, the past drafts #2 and a future first? I don't care how bad of a GM he is, no one in the history of the NBA would take that trade

I believe the same thing was said about the Gasol trade from Memphis. May not be the exact trade but if you throw in a third team it could happen.

If i was trying to rebuild the Lakers, i'd try to get Austin Daye, dude is 6'11, lethal from three, and you can develop him into a monster..

                        Re: Rebuilding the Lakers

                        I suggest a three-way trade.

Lakers trade: Andrew Bynum, Pau Gasol, 2 first-round picks

Magic trade: Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu

Rockets trade: Kevin Martin, Goran Dragic, Chase Budinger, 1 or 2 first-round picks

Lakers get: Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu

Magic get: Andrew Bynum, Kevin Martin, Goran Dragic, Chase Budinger, 3 or 4 first-round picks

                        Rockets get: Pau Gasol

This trade works out for everyone. The Rockets get the big man they have shown they would be willing to overpay for (example: vetoed Chris Paul trade) while not completely ruining their future outlook. Magic get a nice, young core in Bynum, Budinger, Martin, Dragic, as well as 3 first-round picks, or you can add another pick from the Rockets if you think that would be more fair. The Lakers get Dwight Howard, enough said. This sounds very realistic and would help all teams involved in my opinion. Good luck and I hope this helps!

                          Lmao

And yet you act as if he put a playoff team on the court. Guess what, crazy trades happen every year. How many guards does he have? Is Kevin Love staying in Minnesota? You are congratulating a guy for drafting a no brainier #2 pick. Half of that team will be gone in the next 3 years. But I guess he is the GM of the year to you my friend. And this season two months is basically the whole season. But this is coming from a T'wolves fan. Nice debate by the way.

Lol I believe that's what LA gave the Grizzles with Pau's brother. Hey if it doesn't happen the oh well. But Minnesota has a questionable GM in my opinion that would cave under serious pressure.
