Toughest position for you to recruit
What is your toughest position to recruit? For some reason I have the hardest time bringing in top talent at DT and SS. Every now and then I get a big time star at those position but I normally get a 3 star and let them progress. Also I sometime have a hard time pulling in big time O-line talent.Tags: None -
Re: Toughest position for you to recruit
Mine is FB. It doesn't matter if it's one of the top FB's or one of the worst and it doesn't matter how great my team is, I'll be like the #1 team on their list, only to lose them at the end of the season. It also hurts that I'm never on their top 10 lists to start the season. -
Re: Toughest position for you to recruit
agree FB is tough. I had been looking for one for a few years but they are always terrible. I stumbled on a 6'6 245lb Athlete. I had him pegged as my starting TE if I landed him, turned out he was a FB and came in at an 83ovr. I am pumped to use him in short yardage!

Re: Toughest position for you to recruit
OL but C is toughest off the bunch and also DT. My C's and DT's usually turn out to be originally a G or T for the C and a DE for DT. FB's also are tough but not needed as often and like said above Ive found 2 beasts a 3 and a 4 star athleteComment

DT/C/FB. However, I always have an easy time with WR/RBs. They always want to come to my school."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

Re: Toughest position for you to recruit
Recruiting a FB, a decent one at that, is nearly impossible. My solution around that is to recruit TE's and convert them to FB. Most tend to transition to the change pretty well without a major ratings drop.Comment

Re: Toughest position for you to recruit
I did that this past season in my dynasty. I did actually recruit a FB, but he was only like a 61 overall and I had 4 TEs, so I just moved the worst one to FB. Now I have a 6'5" FB. Pretty hilarious looking in the backfield."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

Re: Toughest position for you to recruit
Since I use 3 TE's with my offense, a lot of times I'll just move a big RB (or occasionally a 4th TE) to FB. I usually have a good enough line and fast enough/good enough RB's to where it doesn't hurt me too much.Comment

Re: Toughest position for you to recruit
Center is the absolute hardest. That is why every center has like 15 offers and somehow always eludes users. So I just move whatever guard or tackle that works best over there. I usually try and move a RS FR so I can get their offseason training that true freshmen don't get. Works great.
I recruit more DT's than I know what to do with considering I run 3-3-5. I actually struggle with HB's. It seems like any of the HB's ever interested in me are B- or B speed or have awful position specific ratings. I generally run spread or option based offenses so those backs do me next to no good. If I am struggling to find a FB, I'll recruit one of those slower HB for FB, but that's about it.
I do struggle with safety, most finding an IMPACT safety who will come in and make an impact. Most of the guys I recruit at safety end up as linebackers. I had a year I recruited 4 SS and a DB ATH. All 4 SS ended up at LB and the DB ATH at CB. Guys just don't come in and make an impact at S outside of maybe the top recruit at the position. Even then, the top SS in my one dynasty now is 3* and not particularly good.Comment

Re: Toughest position for you to recruit
For the most part in my dynasty I have been able to find some quality FB's that are one stars who have turned out to be high 60's or low 70's. I also recruit a T or G for my center position most of the time but it sucks when you can't land one and your contract goal is to fill team needs before the offseason.Comment

Haha...yeah, I always try to make sure that when I recruit an extra TE to convert to FB I find one in the 6'2 235 range.Comment

Kickers/Punters easily. They always suck and it's difficult to get anyone with any talent no matter how good your team is.NFL: Green Bay Packers
MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies
NBA: Denver Nuggets
NHL: Colorado Avalanche, Pittsburgh Penguins
NCAA: Air Force Falcons, Penn State Nittany LionsComment

Re: Toughest position for you to recruit
This is my hardest to recruit also. Higher prestige teams isn't that bad, but when using a 1&2 star teams, its hard just to get anyone in there. I have had to resort to have my kicker punt in one dynasty and my punter kick in another. With the punter kicking, my fg percentage was really bad, with some missed extra points.Comment
