    Game Discussion Thread 1/2/12 - 1/8/12

Well we had an interesting (seriously) week of basketball games, pretty good watches all around the league (unless you're a Wizards fan...). This week promises to be much of the same with some good match ups. We'll see if certain teams can keep their torrid starts to the season and if others can get out of the quagmire.

OKC and Dallas again? Seems like they've played like 8 times so far this year.

So dumb for the Phoenix game to be at 12:30pm Pacific. Argh.

I'm seriously considering buying the league pass after it ends on the 8th. I doubt I'd ever get to see a T Wolves game televised again this season if I didn't.

Living in LA, of course I'm gonna get a steady stream of Laker & Clipper games. But I don't think I'd be seeing any of this entertaining T Wolves team if it weren't for the pass.

I'll have to check if they are offering a reduced price since the season is shortened.

I wish I could get League Pass, but alas, I'm just a college student living in a dorm lol. I'd love to get to see the T'Wolves and Bucks more. Man, Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love are so much fun to watch, and it actually looks like Love loves being in Minnesota. I hope he sticks around.

Time Warner doesn't even have the League Pass channels where I am. Lame.

Anyways, hopefully the Mavs can pull it together after a weak performance last night against the Wolves and get some revenge on the Thunder.

Might as well just stick with streams, LP Broadband is a rip off. Don't do it.

I see Orlando is 4-1, haven't seen them play once, but that surprised me a bit.

Yeah, the only advantage to broadband is higher quality but with streams they are free and you don't have to worry about any blackouts

the 4 teams they've beat though are HOU, NJ, CHA, and TOR so I wouldn't think much into it lol

Houston, Portland, Golden State, Memphis. Hoping for a 3-1 week barring Kobe shenanigans or knees disintegrating

At least they're beating who they're supposed to though.

I'm hoping Avery Johnson realizes this dumb Deron at the 2 guard experiment is a large failure. Sundiata Gaines should not be running the offense, and Swag Mamba needs more playing time than 10 minutes. No way Gaines should be getting that much burn. The Guard Rotation should be Deron/Ammo/Brooks with Gaines as the fourth option NOT the first. Hell the Blood should be getting PT as well...but he's not. I really don't get Averah's substitution and rotation patterns.

I don't expect a win against the Pacers tonight either way.

The F? Deron's been playing at the 2???

Nets, Wizards are hopeless. The only two teams I've given up on through the first week.

Usually I'm a realist, but I guess I'm in denial about Kobe. I keep thinking that he is going to finally turn the corner, put his ego aside and stop doing the kind of BS he did yesterday, but he just can't take that step back and realize that he should be the second or even third option on a lot of nights.

There should never be a game where he takes more shots than Andrew and Pau combined. Even when they're playing like garbage, let alone when they're shooting well.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

last night was a time when coach Brown should have just benched Kobe. he did nothing but hurt the team the entire game. Brown should have realized that and sat him in the 4th, much like Scott Brooks did last year with Russ in the Dallas/Thunder series when he wasn't shooting well.
