Which Players Underplay Their Rating in NBA 2K12?
This is a helpful thread so we can know which players not to trade for/sign. A guy that comes to mind is PG Mike Bibby even though his Overall rating is low, I think he has a rating of 87-90 3PT Rating. I try to shoot open threes with him and he can't make 3 opens shots in a row.Tags: None -

For me Monta Ellis makes a couple shots then misses like 7 or 8. Really a waste...This is a helpful thread so we can know which players not to trade for/sign. How can you underplay your ratings? The ratings determine how someone plays in the first place. The thing is that some people are just not good with some players. I shoot brick after brick with the entire spurs team. Heck I cant hit a single 3 with Korver. And its not because he underplays his ratings. Im just not good with him. I cant get his release down at all.Comment

Eric Gordon
I don't claim to be a great 2k12 player (not even close, really), but I am absolutely awful with Eric Gordon.Comment

He simply cannot make a shot in traffic. Even 3's which he is a 90 at you need to get the shot off quick. If you aren't open, drive the lane.. hes good at that although his lack of size alone will get him blocked sometimes.
I was bad with him at first as well, but I'm getting betterComment

Re: Which Players Underplay Their Rating in NBA 2K12?
I have issues with David West. He's a bit undersized for how he likes to pay in game, and I'm always getting swatted in the paint with him. When I try to pull him out of the paint, I can't get his release down at all, and always miss the midrange jumper. It's sad, too, because I was great with him last year and was excited to play with him on the Pacers.Comment

I'm usually good with Monta. Like someone else said it's all about who you're comfortable with. I can't score with Igoudala to save my life.Comment

Re: Which Players Underplay Their Rating in NBA 2K12?
It pains me to say it but I have to say Jamal Crawford. I loved playing with this guy in NBA 2K11 but now, I can't see to get into any rhythm with the guy. Plus, every time I'm wide open for a corner three, I miss it almost every time with the exception of maybe one or two tries. A corner three in 2K11 was always money for me but in 2K12, I find myself using the Blazers less and less and when I do, I get most of my offense from Lamarcus Aldridge and Gerald Wallace.MyTeam Lineup: New York Bullet Club
PG: Reward Amethyst Steve Francis
SG: Jamal Crawford (Hawks)
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Carmelo Anthony
C: DeMarcus Cousins
6th: Stephen Curry
Coach: Doc Rivers
Playbook: Phoenix SunsComment

Keyword here. It isn't Bibby it is YOU. He doesn't underplay anything. You underutilize him. This is a helpful thread so we can know which players not to trade for/sign. A player I think who underplays his rating is Luol Deng. This is due to his weird form, which you can never tell when it releases, and also the fact that you can't really slash in 2K12 due to all the bumping and contact animations. You can't maneuver around players in the paint like Luol does, so you can't get those type of shots.
I would've said Booze, but he misses shots EXACTLY like he would in real life. If you hit 3 shots with him in a row, you are guaranteed to win. Trust me.Comment
