    Imported Draft Class (rant)

This is like my first thread, and I know this has probably been said already, but I think that the imported draft classes from NCAA, while they do have correct player names, are a pile of horse****. So here goes my little rant.

    1) The shoulder pads look absolutely ridiculus. I believe there's even a loading screen that says "You should notice imported players look a lot more like themselves this year..." and everytime I see it, its just like WTF are you kidding me?

    2) There are no busts or steals. At all. Here's how it goes (going off of projected round drafted )

    1st Round: A Potential 79+OVR
    2nd/3rd Round: B Potential 73+ OVR
    4th/5th Round: C Potential 68+OVR
    6th/7th Round: D/F Potential 60+
    0th Round/N/a: F Potential 60+

^^^ That is not how it should be. If they were accurate, they would look how Madden actually rates rookies. Which, in general, looks like this (remember this is in general, OVR varies a lot by position)

    Top 10 Picks: 80+ OVR, A
    11-20: Mid-Upper 70s, A
    21-32: Lower-Upper 70s, A
    2nd Round- Mid 60s - Mid 70s, A
    3rd Round- Mid 60s - Lower 70s, A/B (almost all B)
    4th Round/5th Round- Upper 50s - Mid 60s - B/C
6th and 7th rounders usually get cut anyways.

Looking at the two, the difference is emmense. And the fact that there is no steals/busts!!! The only point of scouting is to find guys who have speed and such because their potential is DICTATED by the projected round that they're picked.

    3) This is just a small one but its annoying how they put generated pictures in for the players. Some of them look ********.

    4) The O-Lineman look like twigs. I mean seriously! Either they fix the fact that no matter what position they play, imported players seem to have the same build (excluding height), or they let us edit player weight. I haven't tested this with D-Lineman because I haven't drafted any.

    5) Not enough players exit after their Junior seasons. I guess this is on NCAA12, but I got pissed when guys like J. Blackmon decided to stick around for another year.

    6) There should be some solid prospects at each position. I understand that sometimes there are better QBs (as an example) than there are in other years, but that doesnt mean that the highest rated RG should be projected in the 5th Round (Looking at you Kevin Zeitler).

Well I guess this is it. Leave your guys' thoughts as well as anything you think should be added.

Feels good to get this off my chest at least. Bye now

Bottom-line? Importing draft classes are completely broken. It appears like they will not patch it either.

At least we know one "new" feature for Madden 13...

Yea i usually only do the draft class to get Luck's class. Then I'll use the generated classes because at least you can find some decent talent in the later rounds. I'm hoping they can fix this for next years game.

Is this for an offline franchise or online? If online, how in God's name did you get the NCAA12 draft class into the game? I have been wondering this for who knows how long!!!! If it is offline, is there a possibility of doing this for the online franchises? Running a 12 user NCAA OD and I have like three years worth of guys sitting there. We decided we wanted to do a live draft and low and behold, I cant load those guys into Madden. PLEASE tell me......anyone.....how do I import my draft classes into Madden (Online though, if possible)!!!!

Yeah I noticed this a couple days ago. I was writing down all the A potential players from my first imported draft classes and I went through and every single one was a first rounder except a punter.

I will have the perfect 2012 Draft class for 360, already put 10 hours into this one class. Yes it sucks I have to try this hard, but it will be worth it.

You have to go back to the PS2 days IMO. Madden 05-08 was a blast because it was so easy to get classes to import well.

A decent to good draft class is possible, but it takes a lot of work. Check out the Rosters sub-forum; a few of us are working on getting the draft classes right.

A draft class without shoulder pad problems?

Honestly, going from NCAA-Madden is really difficult for them to do. The best college players have to be given high ratings in NCAA, but at the same time guys that are great in college aren't always the best pro prospects. There are plenty of just average college QBs that flash the skills required to be a developmental prospect (warranting higher potential), but how do you determine who those players are? Randomness? People would complain about that just as much, I think.

This could be solved with the ability to edit and share draft classes in Madden, but that's about it, I think.

Which would end up with me ranting on about how Madden hasn't done anything since forever with their game. Simple stuff like that is what I would expect to be added.

My passion for NFL and Sim style sports gaming leaves me scarred each and every year.

But that class would still not have any busts or late-round sleepers, right?
You gotta have Hope! (My Minnesota Vikings franchise)

After an incredible 2012 season ends with a Super Bowl win, Hope Turner and her Vikings are trying to prove that their performance was more than just a one-shot.

What is the issue with the shoulder pads? Wasn't that fixed with the second NCAA patch? My recent classes have had imported players come out fine.
