Should playoff stats be added to a players career stats?
What do you think? Should Drew Brees continue to add to his passing yardage in the playoffs? Should we take past playoff performances and add them to players stats to give Jerry Rice even more rediculous records to break? Or would you rather keep them seperate and why?Because I live in van down by the river...Tags: None -

Well they cant add it to a regular season record. That would be nonsense. -

Re: Should playoff stats be added to a players career stats?
If a player plays in the post season, and loses in the conferance championship they have nothing to show for it. They should be recognized for making the post season and what better way than to give them those stats that they worked for and earned.Because I live in van down by the river...Comment

Career stats maybe, but not adding on to regular season stats as that would skew a lot of records.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Super Bowls are the only important stat in the postseason. Ask any player.Comment

Yeah it shouldn't be added, I've always thought it was stupid that numbers in bowl games are added to the regular/career records of players in college so this would be just as bewildering to my mind.
It's why when you watch playoff games they clearly differentiate the numbers between regular and postseason play.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

You definitely can't add it now without going through and updating the stats for past players. Otherwise, it'd be unfair.
Obvious, but still...
I like it how it is now. You have your regular season stats and then your playoff stats. It makes a great deal of sense to keep it as is.Last edited by ScoobySnax; 01-09-2012, 03:04 PM.PSN: xxplosive1984Originally posted by J. ColeFool me one time that's shame on you. I like it as it is now. It makes sense to seperate the two.
Every player has 16 games of regular season eligibility. Only the elite teams get the extra games. Thanks to LBzrules: So these threads won't be forever lost.

I like it how it is now, I mean if you have the one of the greatest RBs of all time but hes on a terrible team for most of his career, that puts him at a huge disadvantage imo. I feel Emmit would be untouchable and Sanders would drop a few notchesComment
