    D-League in Association

Has anybody here done anything with the D-League in association mode other than send people down?? When I start my new association I am thinking about doing more with the D-League and play a few games and even the playoffs games if my affiliate makes it. IDK the extent it allows you to do because Ive never doe much with it other than send people down and occasionally look at who is playing well and I'll sign a player or 2 every once in a while.

Wish I could find some use for it, other than if you want to try out your rookies on a veteran strapped team if you have player roles on (they'd be upset if they lose significant minutes). But I don't play with player roles on haha

Thats too bad its not utilized much. Ive been watching the D-League showcase this week and already players have been getting recalled to the NBA or signed to teams. I know its just generic players and the free agents playing in the league, but I do like seeing how they play and sign them. I just wish it was more than that.

I play one game every 2 weeks, just like I play one normal association game a week

Yep, I usually bring up Jake Robinson with his A- 3 point shooting, but I try to bring up one D-Leaguer with each Association Mode.

Ive done it before in older games, and if I get far enough in the association i will start up soon, Id do it if I felt it could help. In 2k10 I picked up a SG bc of injury, and I played him the most minutes on my team (in games I played, not simmed). Guy was awesome. If they put up great stats in the D-League, Ill sign em and see what they can do. Usually Its something I do after the All-Star game . Thats when I start paying attention to D-League stats, but I may start sooner

There was a thread around last year where people were filling the D league with actual players by making all the DL players age 40 and the game would retire those players and fill the roster with the players that sit in the FA list. Doing that I used the dleague more in 2k11. This year I haven't really touched it except to put rookies that wouldn't see much play time.

I think the ability to edit ages has been removed this year though.

^ You don't have to do all of that with the help of the REDITOR. Full D-League in the Chia/HyperBaller 2K11 roster. Without doing all of that.

But one thing you can do is to Player Lock with anyone you send down.

lol at the Jake Robinson mention, he's helped my team plenty of times when one of my guards get hurt. In 2k11 he was in my rotation with my Bulls association.

I always tell myself that I'm gonna give D-League games a try, but, I end up losing interest after 2 games.

Again, it is only because the players are fake. If you play those games with the real rosters and seeing those former college starts playing really makes it more fun.

Also the fake guys have seem to have really off tendencies that make them play weirdly. I was just looking at the fake D-League players, and some of them had a 50 something three point rating with 99 3 point tendency, and there were a lot of other tendency and rating things that make you think 2k just randomly assigned numbers to these guys.

Sometimes I play D-League games . But I only use the player I might want to sign so I use preferred position it is actually fun
