Success stories of cpu generated draft players

So although some of them are jacked up, i love cpu generated draft classes. I enjoy the variety. How they have guys from china, russia, eastern europe, etc.

Anyways, i wanted to hear of other people who enjoy these draft classes successful player stories that came out of here. I have two.

First, i have a 6'11 c from kentucky who came out with a b inside and a def and rebounding, 78 overall. His first year he averaged 18ppg and 12rbg. This was mostly from sim games!! By year 3, he was fifth in scoring, and second in rpg and 1 in bpg. Can u say d12 clone?? Thanks cpu!!

Second, in another chise i had a 6'11' sf/c from china. No joke he was a dirk mirror image. Nasty midrange game, could shoot threes, rebound, and defense. Came out a 74 overall, ended up around a 85 ish. Was fun to play with. Season avg was around 22ppg and 10rpg, but could sink threes and mid range shots.

What about u guys? No negatives please.

Re: Success stories of cpu generated draft players

From 2k11, I landed the 1st pick with the Knicks after simming my first season and winning 30 games for like a 2% chance. I'd been scouting a promising Italian center (I'm italian) by the name of Nando Balestrieri. I had low rated scouts, and his potential was only rated a B by them, but I took him over prospects they liked better because I wanted a paesan.

Nando was a beast. 7'4", 300 lbs, great touch, great defense, and his potential when I drafted him turned out to be 94!

He had 2 great seasons before my association file glitched horribly.

Yea, nice!!! I am secretly hoping to get a 7 foot 6 guy like yao ming, who i would have just loved to see what he could have done in 20 seasons, so sad.

Anyways, yea i have gotten some good guys off the draft man.

      Keep em coming.

I got a guy who was 6-6 215 and a small forward. I drafted him 45th overall and he turned out to be a good shooter with decent rebounding skills, 64 overall. He was my sixth man his rookie year And he averaged 15-5 and he ended up 87 overall after 4 seasons

I remember in 2k8 or 2k9 the CPU Kings drafted with no.1 SF who won an MVP in his 1st season. That was amazing, he was like Oscar Robertson.

Slightly off topic, but i have a young pg with some potential, his iso dribbling skills, most of it are average and good at best, so i am wondering, when he gains experience, will the skills get improved? Or sending him to a training camp helps?

              Two Words.

              Orlando. Marshall.

This 6'5 SF out of Oregon, turned into LBJ. No kidding, well. his game was more built around a jumpshooting ultimate scoring machine, like KD, or Kobe, but after 7 years in the league, this guy averaged almost 30 PPG, 6 RPG and 5 APG.

Rediculous, decided to play a game with him, and WOW. This dude IS A MONSTER. He was dunking Like Griffin and Shooting like Jimmer.. He's amazing.

The 2 games I played with him he had 40 lol. Beast.

On a side note, another reason i LOVE LOVE LOVE CPU generated draft classes is because the random variation in Shoes , Equipment, but most of all... Signature play.

I had this center I picked for the heat with the 60th pick, and He had a very clean looking one handed jumper, couldn't make one, but that one handed shot + Set shot 4 = Beautiful.. 2K12's sigs are ink dude.

Re: Success stories of cpu generated draft players

I hate CPU Generated Classes reason why is because the ratings are just screwed up. Player play types are also messed up (Example:3pt Specialist has a 69 3pt rating) They're also are never good three point shooters. Every center sucks and so on.

Anyways, I use fictional draft classes because a human made them. They are really fun if you don't look at the players ratings on the draft class. So to get to the point I got a center out the draft 1st pick, he went ROY averaging 22 ppg and 10rpg and the next year he finished with 24 ppg and 12 ppg

My brother had a Russian in nba 2k8 named Yuri Klimov that was a beast! He was drafted 2nd overall by the pacers. He was INSANE! All I remember is he won mvp his first year and scored 30 ppg in his 2nd year.

traded derozan and a first rounder for some stud out of denver. played like melo, sort of except better. 6'9 SF. I had a pretty crap team (lol) so no titles sadly Decided to sim a couple of seasons and forgot to re sign him.

Had autosave on and he didn't come back. 5 time all star, 2 time scoring champ, 1 time MVP and had a 15 mil. 5 year contract (underpaid i know LOL). Signed with the hornets for like 5 seasons, left when he was 34 and went to chicago to pair up with "Courtney Davis". EXACT replica of D-rose except with a better 3 point shot. Lost in 6 to these guys. Not really a success story for me but oh well :P

Re: Success stories of cpu generated draft players

I chose the Raptors, made them play crap and simmed the first season to get a high pick in the draft. I also traded for Wizards pick since they were playing crap as well. The pick turned out to be pick number 1 and 4. Just what I wanted! I also had the 16th pick in the second round.

My nr. 1 pick was 6'3 204 lbs PG/SG Clint Alexander. 83 overall rating. Very athletic, great driver, fairly good from mid range, streaky from 3, excellent rebounder for his size and has good passing as well. After my first 23 games with this guy, he has 19.8 ppg 5.4 rpg 6.9 asts 1.3 stls. He also hits 82 % from free throw line. I've had two triple doubles with him already.

I also had pick nr 4 as mentioned. Here I chose a guy who absolutely beasted in a 5-on-5 workout I had. He was 7'0 274 lbs center Joel Posey. I played against him, cause I was actually looking at another center who was ranked higher. I noticed that this guy was unguardable in the post. A mix between Eddy Curry and Shaq. He was supposed to go in the lottery but I took a chance on him. Turned out he had 72 overall rating. I was pleased with that. I needed a center since I had traded them all away. Now I could play Bargnani at PF and Posey at C.
Jesus christ this guy is a beast. He has 90 dunking, 99 standing dunk, 89 shot inside, 80 shot close. He is a scoring and dunking MACHINE. Also a good athlete for his size, great rebounder and a ok defender. Can hit a mid-range shot if he is open. My first 23 games with him has been a joy. 27.1 ppg 11.2 rpg 2.2 asts and 2.0 blks. My offence runs trough him. By far my best and most important player. He just doesn't get stopped. In his second game in the league he dropped 42 points (20-24 fg) on Indiana and Hibbert. He became my go to guy after that game.

With my second round pick I went with 6'6 223 lbs SG/SF Edward Hubbard. 58 overall rating. Pretty good athlete and can score a little bit. Only plays 10.6 minutes pr. game. Also went down with a injury so he has only played in 11 of 23 games. But I like this guy. He is a nice player to have off the bench.

All in all the draft completely turned this franchise around. Alexander and Posey combined with DeRozan, Bargnani and defender Chris Singleton makes for a pretty good, big and athletic team! I'm 15-8 with these guys and love play with them!

This was in 2k11 don't remember guys name but he was pf drafted by nets first overall. In the ten years+ I simmed in that chise he won MVP about 6 times think 4 in a row. He never won a championship tho. He became best pf In history in that. Was incredible never seen a generated player before or since that. His career averages were like 24 Pts and 12 boards with a few assists dot remember block numbers but shooting % were high as well as free throws oh and did I mention he was a three point shooter as well? Wish I was nets in that chise lol.

In 2k10 I drafted a 6'10" PF named Mark Slaughter from UCLA. He was a really awesome 20/10 guy that was as good in the post as he was from midrange. That's not even the coolest part, I had another pick in the low twenties and drafted 6'11" center from UCLA named Sean Slaughter. Both were white guys with blonde hair and Sean was two years older. He wasn't really very good at all, but I figured that the odds of the game randomly generating The Slaughter Bros like that was so small that I just couldn't split them up.

If you still got that association saved and he didn't retire just resign position and head to nets. if you turn off autosave, you can have two different files of the same season but different teams.
