Re: Only Seniors Go Pro
Besides convincing them to stay. You can only control something like 12 teams in a Dynasty mode so with that said there are still one hundred something teams that you are not stopping the underclassmen from leaving. Is there a specific time that you can do the export draft class function before the "players leaving" stage to where it exports without the underclassmen and just skips the "players leaving" stage and goes strait to "transfers" or something across those lines?Comment

Re: Only Seniors Go Pro
Why? There is no rule in ncaa that prevents this, so why stop it in the game? Recruit better players and you wont have a problem...Comment

Re: Only Seniors Go Pro
All the underclassmen in real life that declared for the NFL draft I changed to seniors so they would all enter the NFL draft instead of some of them deciding to stay for their senior season. So if I had a draft of nothing but seniors, it would be an accurate draft class, atleast as far as who is in the draft.
And yes, that post was rude.Comment

Oh. I thought you wanted to do the reverse, keep underclassmen from entering. All the underclassmen in real life that declared for the NFL draft I changed to seniors so they would all enter the NFL draft instead of some of them deciding to stay for their senior season. Re: Only Seniors Go Pro
Really only for the first season. I just don't want players like Matt Barkley or Landry Jones entering the draft until next year.
Sometimes it asks me if I want to export the draft class before the offseason and before the end of the coaching carousel but it almost seems like this happens randomly on my system. If I export then, does anyone know if it just takes seniors or does it randomize the players leaving and you have no choice?Comment

Re: Only Seniors Go Pro
How do you convince them to stay?
I don't remember seeing this option.
I had a Safety, and a RB (or receiver?) both leave my team last year to go pro after their junior year.
Neither of them were ready, only in their 70s on ratings, and didn't really do that much, so I didn't get it.
However I've had heisman winners go pro, so I wouldn't have even tried stopping them, but I would have liked a chance to convince the other kids to stay.
This year I've got a stud junior QB who's been injured for 11 weeks, and might be healthy in time for the championship game. I'm wondering what he'll do. He would have won the heisman for sure if he was healthy, and I expected he'd go pro. Now I'm wondering if he'll still go. Will it matter if I play him or sit him in the championship game?Comment

Re: Only Seniors Go Pro
To your first question, you can convince any player who is transferring or leaving early to stay during the players leaving stage. It will say what the player's status is on the screen and by clicking "A" or "X" depending on your system, you can elect to spend 0-60 minutes talking to said player to try and convince them to stay in school. You have a maximum of 10 hours to spend on this for all players combined, so there is a possibility of strategy coming into play. How do you convince them to stay?

2nd question, I really don't know about that...I'd play him and if he decided to try and leave you could attempt to convince him to come back and play another season (since that would benefit his draft stock, imo)Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: Only Seniors Go Pro
Change the guys you don't want leaving early to Sophs. Then they won't be allowed to leave. Most likely, if they're Jones and Barkley and highly ranked, they'll leave after their JR year the following year anyway.Really only for the first season. I just don't want players like Matt Barkley or Landry Jones entering the draft until next year.

For the 2nd question: I believe it exports everyone that's a SR AND leaving early with the first option. The second option to export removes all the guys you have convinced to stay and sends everyone else. I'm nearly 99% sure this is how it works."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment
