MLB 12 The Show + PS Vita bundle?

Any word on a possible discount package for those who are interested in getting both the PS3 and PS Vita versions?

Is there enough community / consumer interest if the price is right?

Personally, I would love to see some kind of bundle or discount as money is getting tight with all of these great gaming releases coming up.

+1 for the community interest. Disappointed there hasn't been any.

I heard there's something in the works, but they haven't yet spoken of it.

I can't afford the Vita and both games for both systems. A package deal would be the ONLY way I COULD do it. But it's not from a lack of desire, that's for sure. It's from a lack of disposable income. $100 just on the games themselves is a lot for me. Let alone having to get the system on top of it.

If they did decide to implement this, I sure hope they'd allow me to the bundle price after the fact because I've already pre-ordered (and paid off) the PS3 version at Gamestop.

I hope so as the way it stands right now, I have to rob Paul to pay Peter.

Scratch that, I have to rob both Paul and Peter

See, I can see them giving like $20 off on it and selling a bundle pack for only $80. This isn't like ModNation Racers or Uncharted where they are different games with different objectives; this is the same game. Those who will buy both of them should be rewarded with a discount, because essentially what you're saying is you are paying a little more to play the same game. Again, same experience, not a different one.

Plus, it might help move more Vitas. The one commercial that is playing all the time is showing off how you can play on your PS3 and go straight to your Vita, and they are displaying The Show. I think that it would only make sense that they wouldn't piss those customers off so much that they realize they have to pay $100 to make this happen (even $90). I think since it's the same game, the discount needs to be a little greater, especially when you could otherwise just buy the Vita version at a $4/no tax discount digitally, which would almost pay off a $10 discount in itself.

It's literally the only way I could get one. I'm sure I'm not alone on this.

                  One PS Vita = $249.99

                  Two MLB 12 The Shows (PS3 + PS Vita) = $100

Being able to continue your season / franchise living in your car = PRICELESS

Sony is probably just going for price discrimination at this stage, so that they make those who really want both at the earliest day pay the premium. And those who would want *if* there is a discount join later...

Again it's just a common business practice, but don't see why Sony doesn't want to capitalize on the freshness of Vita... a discount on the Show might push the sales a bit more for them.

I'm also surprised it is not some sort of "Special Edition".

It seems just about every game now-a-days had one, they could do a bundle, throw in a Gonzalez Cover Poster and a downloadable component or something and it would actually be a package people would want to pay the extra money for.

                      It seems so obvious.
That way it's also limited (their not giving it at a discount forever) and it gives a bit of a break to the hardcore-MLB fans and those that are going to be early adopters of the Vita.

If that doesn't happen? I'll hold out hope for some store discounts, like Best Buy giving you a $20 GC if you buy both or something.

I bought the vita for this game. I never get to play my PS3 when I'm off during the day because the rest of the family is using the entertainment hub of the home for something. The ability to play my franchise whenever I want, or laying in bed at night, is more appealing to me than getting the game on the PS3. I'll play more games on the vita than PS3.

If they don't bundle it, then I'm just buying the vita game. Its the same game, doesn't make sense getting the 60 dollar version that I'll play less than the 40 dollar version. But I still would like to play on both systems, and I'd definitely buy a bundled version.

I think $80 would be fair. Although I'd rather see it for $75.

I saw those deals on other games. Hustle Kings and Wipeout Vita purchases evidently get the PS3 version free since they have link abilities.

If MLB, on release day had a deal like this there's a 90% chance I'd walk out of there with a new Vita in hand too. I'm interested in the Vita but I barely played the PSP and I'm afraid the Vita would be the same for me unless I had something like MLB that came with it (not an additional purchase). Then it wouldn't be a Vita but a MLB The Show machine :P
