Trading Players - In-Game Photo
I know that the game isn't out yet, but I was wondering if those who've spent some time with the demo might have noticed if player picks get updated with trades. It's a long shot at the moment, but I was hoping someone got a bit creative and pulled off a trade during their time with the game ...

Player portraits don't change. The only time a cap changes is when a player changes teams and is a created player.I know that the game isn't out yet, but I was wondering if those who've spent some time with the demo might have noticed if player picks get updated with trades. Re: Trading Players - In-Game Photo
Figured as much but thought I'd ask regardless. Really wish this aspect of the game was similar to Madden in the sense that the background of the player changes. Guess it's easier to handle when they're not wearing baseball caps :-)Comment

Re: Trading Players - In-Game Photo
I thought I read somewhere that the players in a fantasy draft would have their hats changed to their respective teams.? Not just created playersLast edited by earp4530; 02-27-2012, 01:45 AM.Comment

I think you're talking about MLB Pennant Race. If I'm not mistaken Dave Justice was on the cover.

I think Russel talked about this last year, since we had a similar thread. The reason behind it was that it would take up too much memory or something of the sort. It was a technical limitation.Comment

I know for a fact that fantasy drafts last year they didnt change caps, not only that but catchers would wear whatever color chest protector their original team colors were.Comment

Yeah that might have been it. I loved the All-Star Baseball series better than I did the EA series. I played it for the last 4 or 5 years it was around.
I never played that game and yeah that's Justice on the cover.I think you're talking about MLB Pennant Race. If I'm not mistaken Dave Justice was on the cover.

Re: Trading Players - In-Game Photo
I know I'm being picky here but I truly hate the fact that the players keep the old team hat even after traded. after about 5 seasons, my entire team is made up of at players from at least 10 teams. Madden did something that I though was very helpful in that aspect...they put a white jersey on every player. So even if you trade a player they keep the a neutral color. Since baseball players wear hats, maybe they can have all players wear black hats or something like that. kinda like the current free agents with the black "mlb" hat but something more creative like the actual mlb logo or something.Comment

I agree. I have been wanting this for years. Prob more than a decade. ESPN can somehow do it to look real as soon as someone gets traded. The Show should figure it out.I know I'm being picky here but I truly hate the fact that the players keep the old team hat even after traded. after about 5 seasons, my entire team is made up of at players from at least 10 teams. LOL its funny that you say that, because it doesn't seem like it should be this difficult. To be honest with you, I won't trade for certain players because if I hate the team who's hat they wear it will bug me too much. NBA 2k13, is able to accomplish this nicely by "computerizing" players for a lack of a better word. I know it can be done, I'm just not sure whats the best route. It seems to work great with created/generated players in the show, but since real players have real photos they just stay the same. This would revolutionize the game IMO.Comment
