    NBA 2011-2012 MVP Thread

Figured its time to actually start this thread. Only about 2 months left of the regular season.

    So post away.

My choice would have to be LeBron James. As much as I don't like this dude, he is playing BALL!

LBJ and KD are 1a 1b

      CP3 is slightly behind

Can't call it right now but I don't know how you give it to CP3 at this point

LeBron is the front runner no doubt. Behind him KD, then it would be CP3, Rose, Howard, Wade & Kobe but they are pretty far away from KD who's far away from LeBron.

LBJ and KD down to the wire. Think LBJ will take it though.

I can see why, cause the Clippers are 21-12 after finishing last season at 32-50 and still being the Clippers. If they had the best record in the league, it'd be CP3 by default of actually doing the unthinkable of not only making the Clippers not a joke (despite they're best efforts to keep that tradition going *cough*ClipperDarrell*cough*) but best record in the league?

Having said all that, it's LeBron's to lose without question. KD is in hot pursuit, but he's going to have to be better than perfect or LeBron gets hurt to have a chance.

Chris Paul is averaging 19 & 8, no way could he be MVP.

So only ppg matters to you KD?

No way I see the Clippers with the same record without Paul. They'll probably be battling for the 8th spot but definitely not the 1st seed.

It's LeBron James award to lose at this point. Unless the Heat lose the number one spot. I just don't see how he won't win. No need to go through his numbers. We all know what they are. But I'm love this whole no 3 pointers thing. Might be the best LeBron we've seen.

                        Then Kevin Durant

I like Durant right now. But I don't think he doing that much differently. I'm talking about overall game. I still can't wait to see him with a post game. At 6-9/6-10 If you thought LeBron was hard to handle down there. Imagine Durant...

Anyone else is not worth talking about in my opinion.

On Durant. I would like him to use the post also.

I cant put Durant as 1b, he's #2 IMO because there too many times the Thunder go on a possession where he dont even touch the ball.

                            KD - 38.1 MPG, .512 FG%, .382 3P%, .836 FT%, 28.0 PPG, 7.9 RPG, 3.4 APG, 1.4 SPG, 1.2 BPG, 3.6 TO.

                            LBJ - 36.9 MPG, .549 FG%, .431 3P%, .776 FT%, 27.7 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 6.8 APG, 1.8 SPG, 0.7 BPG, 3.6 TO.

I'd pick LeBron at the moment but I have a feeling if things stay as they are it could come down to which team has the better record.

If the voting happened now, it would be LeBron.

By season's end, it's gonna come down to who has the best record in the league. If Miami has the best record, LeBron wins it. If the Thunder has the best record, KD wins it. Heck, if the Bulls end up with the league's best record, don't be surprise that Derrick Rose claims his second straight MVP award. Although no one is talking about him right now.
