New to NBA 2k...should I get 2k11 or 12?
Heard a lot of complaints about 2k12, heard 11 was near perfect. I am about 75% career mode, 25% franchise as far as how I play sports games. Which would be netter for me?Tags: None -

In 2K11, your CPU teammates are worthless. But it was fun.
In 2K12, your teammates are better and it is still fun.
But 2K12, is so frustrating because everytime the CPU goes up with the ball, they ALWAYS PUMPFAKE. I mean whenever, end of a shot clock, inside the paint.. doing up and unders. you name it. Plus there's even more animations in the paint to get to know.
I would go with 2K11, because now that I look back on it, it is better than what we have now in 2K12, but that's just me.Comment

Re: New to NBA 2k...should I get 2k11 or 12?
Well it depends on what you want, If your a exclusive My Player guy then I would say 2k12. But if your someone who plays Associations, then I would either A. Buy 2k11 or B.Buy 2k12 and Get REDitor(Editing Program for 2k12) to fix the issues in associations such as Cap Cold spots.
Now to the person who said something about up and under's here's what you need to do.
1. Get A Good Roster
Tomba 2k12
Community Edit
2. Get Good Sliders
Tomba 2K12 Sliders
Authentic's Sliders
If you do those things you wont see an issue!NBA 2k13 project:

The issues you listed are only issues when using default rosters.

So I can't agree with anything you said.Comment

Re: New to NBA 2k...should I get 2k11 or 12?
I personally think you should go for NBA 2K11 if you're newer to the series because it's much easier, so it will be better to get a feel for the series.
Also, it's cheaper and a whole lot more fun!
I personally think 2K11 > 2K12 anyway, but even without that bias everyone agrees that 2K12 has been made much more difficult. You have to be really precise and calculated with your efforts. It's ok for people who have been playing 2K for years, but for a newcomer to the series it might just be TOO big a jump to go straight into.Comment
