    Charlotte Bobcats tips?

Hey all. I've been using the Nets as of lately, and have gotten pretty good with them, but I really want to start to get good with the Bobcats.

I've been trying them out a little bit lately, and just find it tough to score at times. I was wondering if anyone here has used the Bobcats frequently, and what lineups, sets, etc...work for you?

    Thanks!

Are you playing online? If you're playing association mode I'd suggest some trades for you, but if you're stuck with the stock roster, here's some tips:

        - Byron Mullens has a solid Mid Range game and can stretch opposing defenses. Get him some open looks at the top of the key
        - A nice play to run is CHA Horns Circle. The PG passes to the C in the high post. Make sure the C is posting up his man to draw the defense's Center away from the hoop. The PG will curl around the C to the hoop. Flip the PG the ball as he's cutting for an easy layup
        - On defense, Tyrus Thomas is a shot blocking machine. Take control of him for weak side defense and you'll get plenty of blocks. His mid range game is also decent and can knock down the open jumper
        - Play DJ Augustin at the 1 and Kemba at the 2. Although you have a smaller lineup, both players can knock down mid range jumpers and you can run a lot of picks and rolls with both players. They're both pretty streaky, so you can either live or die by this combo.

I strictly play online and use the 'Cats a ton. My lineup is Kemba and Henderson in the backcourt with Maggette, Thomas and either Biyombo or Diaw at the 5. I use Biyombo if the other team has a quality 5 and Diaw against the rest. It's all about getting open looks with the 'Cats as they do not have a single closer or player who can take over the game. My bench lineup tends to be Augustin, Williams, Brown, White, and whichever 5 I didn't start. D.J. White is a pretty solid midrange shooter and Williams is lights out from deep.

For those faster teams I like to take Maggette out and bring in Brown and you can fastbreak with the best of them.

Getting good with the Bobcats will take some time and patience. I never run plays I manually move my players around but once you get them down I have arguably the most fun with them than any team and I am a Clips fan :3

Yeah I am playing online strictly with the Bobcats and against other players.

I love DJ in real life, but I struggle with him on the game for some reason. Does he tend to have a longer release?

I guess it really is just all about being patient with the Bobcats and you really can't afford to commit stupid turnovers that perhaps you can with other teams.

Take him to practice mode...but I actually think his release is very easy.

He can be streaky, though...and I've had games where I poured in 20-30 with him...and then follow that up with going 3-12.

I wouldn't suggest taking him right to the basket unless you're getting an easy layup; he doesn't have the strength to finish near the rim nor the strength to absorb contact and draw fouls. If you're running PnRs with him, take the mid range jumper/3 pointers.

                  Quick I guess?

Turn on shot feedback to see if you're releasing too early/late.
