For Madden 13 - it's Online Franchise or bust.

Look back in what Madden 10 - at E3 the big huge news was we were finally getting a true ONLINE FRANCHISE MODE! This was great! We were so stoked and many of us online franchise guru's were so excited and started planning...I know I did. Later it came out that features were going to be bare minimum and while it sucked we told ourselves it's better than nothing.

Madden 11 came around and we were told that once again it was going to be bare minimums because of due to time constraints. We sighed - were angry but again, it's better than nothing. We felt a little lied to because at E3 they said Madden 11 would be better in terms of online franchise...but it wasn't!

Madden 12 - YES! This is the year of the franchise. They said Madden 12 would be a great year for online franchise...instead it was a great year for offline franchise...while it is great it's more fun playing against friends and other users versus CPU teams!

Madden 13 - I don't care about superstar, Ultimate Team, Madden moments, or any new modes. Don't care about communities, don't care about new online modes, and do not want any new modes. If it wasn't for the three amazing leagues I am in (and run) I would not play Madden 12 at all. While there are many, many, many gameplay issues that needs to be addressed we need a TRUE ONLINE FRANCHISE MODE! Thankfully we have websites like Leagumanager (which I was big on but became a joke) and Xtreme-football.net which is truly amazing! Thanks to these sites we can keep our franchises going and it is deeper using these websites.

Madden 13 needs to focus on this mode that has been truly lacking for too many years now. They say that online franchise isn't used by many because in my opinion it's because of the lack of features. Not only do we need contracts, salary cap (the ability to turn them on or off), we need things like sliders, every feature available in offline mode, the ability to write up stories and blogs like in NCAA Online Dynasty mode, free range for commissioner to erase game results (for say a user who gets cheesed against and loses the game can replay against the CPU after booting them), being able to trade draft picks and future draft picks in trades, being able to make draft day trades, scouting, being able to hide all ratings and potential, being able to set an advance clock (while this would never happen it would be great to have a clock that you can have on either your franchise website via EA Sports or on the console so say your like me that says 11:59 PM EST every 72 hours I advance it will have a countdown to let people know) I'd also like to see things like preseason mode, 75 man rosters for preseason, ability for the commissioner to adjust schedules (while I know each division has a certain group of divisions to play against the commissioner should be able to choose a few games that are "open" for scheduling - this helps establish rivalries or allow rivals to continue. I know in all my leagues I have personal rivalries whether from being in the same division or having playoff games against an opponent multiple times)

The list can go on with what needs to come to online franchise and for me - Madden 13 has to be the year of the online franchise or I see me and my three leagues that range from 20-32 members in each (with a lot of multiple members across all three) would be highly upset!

Forget all other modes that are barely used and focus on a mode that CAN AND WOULD BE USED if it got the attention it deserved!!!

I have zero interest in anything online in madden. I'm more concerned about a final product that plays like real football. Not a game that plays like 2006 and barely even feels different year in and year out.

When you have stellar titles that actually represent the sport ( the show/NBA2K) and madden just copying and pasting pretty much each year.... I fully expect loftly promises with minimal results. Another year another madden. My hype meter is barely Luke warm on madden each year. I have gameflyed it for the last 3 yrs and fully expect the same with the next installment.

Just so tired of the SAME THING each year and blatant BS claims from EA that just never pan out.

While I'm sure you think offline franchise mode was good for some strange reason in madden12. IT was not all that good. Madden12 franchise mode still very lacking last year. Aside from a few add ons here and there like 75 man rosters and bidding war for FAs in the offseason. Which to me is unreal. But offline franchise mode is still far from been where it use to be back in madden 07 ps2 days. Like having postion battles or the newspaper or Tony Bruno show and so on. I feel like they need to focus on getting offline franchise fixed first more then anything. Most people know a ton more people play offline franchise then they do online franchise. I understand you wanting online franchise and all.. But it doesn't help if they don't fix the offline franchise mode and make it better before worrying about online one. Overall I really don't see much been done improve online franchise in madden13. The focus will be more towards offline franchise mode because more people play it then anything. They still have a ton of work just to improve offline franchise.

Dude dont get your hopes up to high" trust me"!!Don't forget who we are dealing with ;a company that has choosen to cater the game to a more causual audience rather than the hard core gamers like us.All you can do is hope and pray that one day Madden gives us the game that we all so long desire.

Pass. Online franchise isn't even a remote concern for me. And if I recall, those who do play it are in a minority.

i agree more ppl play offline franchise then they do online i'd like know where ppl get that from when they say ppl dont play offline.heck it took EA the whole yr just to update the online roster... they also said 13 they are focusing on defense so i doubt OF even gets touched. i think they need pay attention more to other modes then MUT how come they can update MUT all threw yr but yet they cant fix the glitches in the game that seem be in there every yr? i hope this yr they fix they 20-30 yard drop backs that's been in game since i've played it fix all those problems before focusing on other modes.

People don't play online franchise that much because it sucks, plain and simple. I used to think that online franchises/dynasties were useless until I played NCAA Football 11. I had an online dynasty with some friends and it was awesome.

If you give online franchise the same functionality as offline franchise I guarantee it instantly becomes the most popular mode on Madden.

im sure the main reason is because its bare bones and sux. not because ppl dont wanna play it. all u have to do is look to online dyn in ncaa and how many ppl play that and youll see how flawed EA's response of nobody plays it really was. u cant put out garbage and expect ppl to play it. ncaa's is complete, and has been the dominant mode in that game since it launched in ncaa 09. me personally, ive been waiting to play online franch since madden 10....still waiting since its still incomplete. im sure theres alot of ppl who are on standby as i am, waiting for it to be complete. when they deliver, im sure the numbers will skyrocket and rival ncaa's mode

You just posted this exact same thing on EA Forums, and I will answer the same just so there is some actual facts. EA never said Madden 12 would be the year of online franchise, that was a media assumption. They actually said franchise mode which almost always refers to offline. FWIW.

Why is it one or the other? It's franchise mode. Everything in a franchise mode should be included in both. The only difference should be that online should feature a commissioner ability to approve trades, advance games etc.

Franchise is important to me but my priority is still with the game on the field. Blocking, player movement and interaction, more route based type passing and overall atmosphere improvements or bust for me when it comes to Madden 13.

Franchise = immersion. Just like presentation = immersion and game play = immersion.

In general franchise needs REAL improvement.

Maybe I'm too hardcore but Franchise (without even playing games) should play as an interesting strategy game. I thought that was going to be Madden 12, but it wasn't.

The seemingly random progression/regression system made little to no sense. I'll grant you randomness should always be a factor to avoid the "ultimate strategy," but when guys at a young age are playing great they should not fall off unless there is an injury. Also players should be able to progress and regress dynamically.

They need to work on that algorithm to balance potential, ability to increase potential via solid multi-year performance, and statistics.

Scouting needs another overhaul. As it is now you either know if a player will be good or going in blind. In-season scouting is pointless except for linemen. The combine is just to gauge physical abilities and is only a real gauge, again, for linemen. Pro-days are only useful for limited positions like Quarterbacks but completely useless for positions like cornerbacks.

Free agency is extremely bland and boring. Its just who can I throw money at, and makes playing multiplayer dynasties a nightmare handing off the controller to bid. Not to mention money is the only factor, and the players have no personality like they once did.

Online Franchise needs to catch up too. Me and a friend played online Franchise for the first time ever this year and quit after a year because of how poorly designed it is.

True but they are not all equal to everyone. I would like a deep franchise online and offline that matched the mode in the ps2 glory days eventually. As it is tho, I can't get 4 games into a franchise without boredom because the game feels repetitive and scripted to me.

So unless Madden 13 is a fresh game on the field and presents with an NFL atmosphere, new changes to FA don't matter.

It's because I don't care to play a franchise with other people for many reasons. Time constraints, cheesing, etc. No thanks. I'll always be an offline guy.
