      Game Notes:

Well, this is embarrassing. Roy Halladay no-hit the Buccos and had a perfect game through seven, when he walked Andrew McCutchen. The Pirates will be missing 2B Neil Walker for a while after he injured himself making a spectacular play at second to retire a baserunner.

Erik Bedard was doing well until he allowed three runners on base with no outs in the seventh and had to be taken out. The relief pitching was horrendous from there-forth, allowing the other ten runs.

        Game Notes:
Well, we tried coming back in the ninth inning. Scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth, but the odds were against us, having to score four runs while getting two outs or less. That's not even mentioning that we faced Cliff Lee and Papelbon in the ninth. We at least hit it where they ain't six times. Morton pitched a decent game, only allowing six hits in five innings while striking out five. He did allow a homer to Chase ****ing Utley, so that's why I yanked him out.

          Game Notes:

Today was pretty fluky. Sad to see that my Buccos were swept, but I know it's okay because it's the Phillies, nothing to be ashamed of. What's embarrassing is that two of the three games we allowed the opposing pitcher to go all nine, and in all three the starter went into the ninth.

I lost the series with the Giants. Game 1: 3-1 Pirates, Game 2: 12-11 Giant, Game 3: 3-2 Giants. The reason I didn't update game-by-game is because I am already on the series in Arizona.

                        Manager Hurdle Announces Lineup Changes

Purple-faced Clint Hurdle will have a different lineup card to present to home plate umpire Jerry Meals today

When Clint Hurdle announced the lineups for tonight's 9:40 game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, something looked different. He may have a new haircut, or maybe he shaved. But on a more important level, something about the Pirates looked very different.

Starting pitcher A.J. Burnett, who injured himself in spring training by bunting a ball into his eye during Clint Hurdle's annual bunting competition, was recalled from AAA Indianapolis, where he was making his rehab appearances. In three rehabilitation starts, Burnett threw 20.1 innings, striking out twelve and allowing just three earned runs, resulting in an ERA of 1.33. He is expected to supplant Brad Lincoln in the pitching rotation and will make his Pirates debut on Friday in Pittsburgh.

To make room for Burnett on the roster, utility infielder Josh Harrison was sent down to triple-A Indy. Harrison started eight games this season at second base to replace the injured Neil Walker, who tore his left calf muscle on Opening Day. In those eight games, Harrison has hit .310/.310/.379. His hitting was the best on the team, but did not make up for his subpar fielding. In those eight games, Harrison committed four errors, while putting out nine and assisting on 19 other outs, resulting in a fielding percentage of .875. He will lead off the lineup for the Indians. Replacing Harrison at second base will be Casey McGehee. McGehee has started 20 games at second base in his career with a fielding percentage of .984. With McGehee permanently in at second base, let's take a look at the current Pirates' lineup.

                        1. Jose Tabata
                        9 GP - .282/.282/.385

                        9 GP - .361/.378/.472

                        3. Andrew McCutchen
                        9 GP - .306/.333/.583

                        4. Pedro Alvarez
                        6 GP - .095/.136/.095

                        5. Casey McGehee
                        8 GP - .304/.407/.435

                        6. Garrett Jones
                        9 GP - .243/.282/.351

                        7. Clint Barmes
                        8 GP - .207/.258/.241

                        8. Rod Barajas
                        8 GP - .194/.265/.290
