It's nice to be getting a realistic amount of broken bats. I got completely sawed off last game and it was a weak little popup to second base.

Hitting a foul ball into the dugout causes the players to try and move out of the way. I didnt play 2k11, so I don't know if this is new or not, but it certainly looked cool.

Check swings by the CPU, and by me, seem to be functioning correctly, and the animations look great.

I play as the Brewers in Franchise, and the new commentary they added really brings me back to last year. They talk about Weeks struggling with injuries, Axford only blowing two saves, Hart's performance in the playoffs... Coming from a guy that watched almost all of Milwaukee's games last year, the new commentary is simply stunning.

I haven't played a baseball game since EA was making college baseball but the thing I noticed and liked in addition to some of the things above.

- the infield is watered to start the game and over the first couple of innings it dries out.

I mean i have seen the wet infield and such but never paid attention to it while i was progressing through the game.

quick question - has anyone see crazy trades with CPU teams or is it only fixed by controlling all 30? Im still in spring training trying to get my hitting down and would rather start over now then deal with jacked up rosters later.

the day 2k gets player models right is.. well probably never.

and i like the "twist" necklace they have, alot of phillies wore it last year. now if only you could edit jersey size like pants size

Really? I like the player models, think they're pretty good other than the odd player with elephant legs.

I love the batter reactions at the plate, think they're exceptionally well done.

The models aren't the problem for me. But what IS a problem for me are those really really bad cyberfaces...I can not believe that they put those ugly custom faces again in this game.

Heh, that's all I use. I discard all the MLB players and only play with a generic fake roster. You get used to them after a bit. I also edited their eyes and gave them brown eyes instead of the "vacant-zombie" blue color most of them have. Improves their appearance quite a bit.

My favorite little thing this year is the jersey selection in Franchise Mode. The game will automatically pick an alternate jersey depending what day of the week it is or according to team traditions.

We also implemented logic that has the teams use their alternate uniform like they do in the real world. Some teams have very definitive patterns for when and why they use their alternate uniforms while others leave it more up to the players on game day. So for a team like the San Francisco Giants, expect to see them in orange on Friday home games. While this is not a huge change, it does add that bit more realism into the game. By the way, we made sure this logic works in all game modes with a schedule, so expect to see the changes in MLB Today and MLB Today Season as well.

always fun to get to that screen in franchise and see what unis are in play for the game.

Noticed the jerseys as well.. Milwaukee wore their old style first game I played them.
