Good purchase? I just keep hearing hype about PYS, so I decided to buy 2010.

Re: I just bought Pro Yakyuu Spirits 2010
I would gladly import one of these if they'd just make a 360 version.
Bobblehead Pros is a good game based on the same Konami baseball engine, but it's a very simplified and stripped down experience compared to the Spirits games.Comment

They had PYS 3 for 360 I think, but it's not region free like all of the PS3 games.OS Vets Co-Commissioner:

Re: I just bought Pro Yakyuu Spirits 2010
Thanks for all of the answers. I've been combing spirits translation to prep for this game. My work is suffering due to it ha.
Last question, is there a road to the show type of mode in PYS 2010? I saw a trailer for PYS 2012 and there is an RTTS mode with the third person fielding camera so...Does this exist in 2010? Thanks again for the replies.Comment

yes there is but i believe in 2010 it's only one year, 2011 is 10 or maybe 20 i forget. Check this link and look for Field Play (PYS RTTS) on the side tabs. Thanks for all of the answers. I've been combing spirits translation to prep for this game. My work is suffering due to it ha.

Thanks! If you can do this in pennant mode which it says you can, i would imagine you can do it as long as the mode continues, which i hear is 6 seasons. But either way, thanks for the info.yes there is but i believe in 2010 it's only one year, 2011 is 10 or maybe 20 i forget. Check this link and look for Field Play (PYS RTTS) on the side tabs.

Re: I just bought Pro Yakyuu Spirits 2010
The Road to the Show mode in PYS is way too japanese intensive and has a lot of random events and factors, so I could not translate it and do not recommend it to english players.
But like you said, you can sorta do this in Pennant Mode. Before every game you can choose to play as 1 player only and hit, field, and run the bases from his point of view. I guess you can choose a player, preferably an established player who starts, and pretend you are playing a RTTS-type mode. If you play as a bench guy or a rookie, I don't think the AI manager would pick it up that you are doing well and progressing cuz it's pennant mode AI afterall.Pro Yakyu Spirits Translation Site

So you're saying that if I were to create myself and put myself on Chunichi in Pennant Mode and then play as myself only, I wouldn't progress my skills?Comment

You could but the mode is more geared for you determining lineups versus a manager. Your skills would improve using the standard skills progression (awakening) system.Thank you to all the men and women who serve in this great nations armed forces.Comment
