    LED TV's

Just got the LG 47LM6700 LED TV today. Played a game of 2K12 and noticed ghosting or trailing during fast breaks. Which TV do you guys have? Are plasmas better for gaming?

Play around with the settings, see if there is a feature called 'motion flow' and turn it off.

Yea disable any "Motion Flow" or "Smooth Motion" or "Liquid Motion" or any other "Advanced" effects. Games don't need them.

I'm sure you are aware of refresh rate if you bought this set? NBA2k12 looks great on my 42" LCD 120hz. If you have a 60hz that could be exaggerating the problem.

LG's are poor quality t.v.s for gaming...

Go back and Get a Samsung ES7500 or EN6100

LG's are quite good but you need to do a lot of tweaking.First of all go to display settings in the menu of your tv and set it to expert mode. You can find specific tweaks if you google.

Yeah like others said, if it has any motion type of feature, true, smooth, smooth, movie, cinematic, etc, turn it off.

Plasma tv's have the highest frames per second. I have always owned a plasma. I just recently purchased a new one. Before I purchased I was considering a LED but changed my mind once I saw the FPS differential. LED 150 FPS $1200; PLASMA 450 FPS $800.

Put your TV in Game Mode. Make sure Tru-Motion Setting is OFF & enjoy

The problem with Plasmas is that they have a risk of burn-in and they don't tend to last as long as LCD in my experience. That could depend on brand and model, however.

I had purchased a cheap Proscan 42" a few years ago for $149 and had insane ghosting.

I fixed it by going in through my XBox settings and changing the display settings to 1920x1080x60hz or something like that. I don't know if it was the 120hz that caused the ghosting but that seemed to fix it.

You'd have to have an HDMI cable connection.

This TV doesn't have a trumotion setting even though it just came out last month. Looked everywhere. Even called customer support. Tried everything you guys suggested and I still see motion blur! The only thing I can think of is that my HDMI cable is 5 years old. I heard there's a 1.3 and a 1.4 version HDMI. I'm pretty sure mine is the older one. Will this make a difference?

I've got a 61' LG and I've never had a problem with Motion Blur or Ghost Trailing and I just got it last month.

I sale them everyday and I also know what we have our games systems running on in store.....Even when we have tournaments, LG's are never an option.

Tweaks or not! I have his specific t.v. on front display, and the two t.v.s I suggested are right next too it and it's night and day difference while playing games on them.

I've messed with all the settings including mpeg noise reduction, local dimming, all that.

The Samsung ES7500 is out of my price range.. which tv's would you recommend in the $800-$1200 range that would be good for playing nba 2k without any motion blur?
