Help me pick a team to rebuild with bad minor league system

    Hey guys,

Would you guys help me picking/convince me to use [this] team because I'm having a hard time deciding.

I usually do my franchises....with a little twist.

I like to create myself and a few of my friends from the college team that we're playing for. So that means we're all in the 18-24 years old age range. I want to put us in the minors and develop us and reach the majors within 3-4 years or so and then become a "dynasty." About 10 hitters, 5 pitchers or so.

I usually sim the 1st season without playing any games at all and make trades and sign free agents and develop prospects and whatnot, try to rebuild the team.

So I want to figure out which team to use. I want to find a team that literally has NO future at all and a bad minor league system, so I can "revamp" the minor league system with my friends from the college team.

*Note, not all of my friends will have 'A' potential. Some of them will have various ratings. I want to develop them into a solid baseball team that still has its own flaws. I don't want to build a SUPERSTAR FANTASY TEAM THAT WINS 150 GAMES EVERY YEAR lol

For the past 5-6 years (or whenever the game first came out) I've been playing The Show with my beloved Cubs, but this year, I want to try a different team.

So if you could think of a team that could fit my needs/plans, it would be greatly appreciated!

The first team that came to mind is the Giants and the Rockies. I'm a National League guy, so I would prefer a NL team, unless you can convince me to use an AL team.

    Thanks!

Twins, Nothing really there they only have one A potential minor leauger and only a handful of B's. White Sox old with no minor league system.

White Sox or the Marlins; the Sox have a historically bad system, their best prospect is a fringe #3 starter. The Marlins have Yelich and a handful of B prospects.

Astros are NL, and have jack **** in the farm system. And they blow *** in the MLB.

Gotta go with Astros here as well. Just nothing on the horizon at all.

I think the Giants could work, though they have some solid propects like Gary Brown, Joe Panik, Heath Hembree, and Tommy Joseph.

They have no pitching in the minors.

I agree with the Astros. I usually go with the Jays but I'm contemplating taking a dumpster team(prospect wise) and drafting/trading to the top. Astros are that team.

Seems like its between the Twins and Astros.

I do have a question if I use the Twins tho:

What do you advise me to do with the players that are already decent on the twins? I'm talking about Mauer, Morneau, Valencia, Revere, and a few "sure-fire" prospects like Kyle Gibson or Miguel Sano?

It'll be somewhat "impossible" for me to trade Mauer and Morneau. They are pretty much the faces of the franchise.

The others, I could trade them, but not sure how to do it realistically.

I'm a Twins fan myself, so I'm not sure how to deal with them, lol.

Do you have any suggestions? Advice?

If it was the Astros, it'll be easy for me to trade everybody heartlessly, lol.

                      Thanks!

Also, I have a few personal favorite players on the Twins, such as Revere, Plouffe, Swarzak, Valencia and Waldrop. Just to name a few.

White Sox, besides Addison Reed & Nestor Molina (both pitching prospects), you have Tyler Saladino (SS) and that's it.
