    Crazy play involving Stephen Strasburg...

So, I think I killed Stephen Strasburg with a lined shot that drilled him RIGHT IN THE FACE. Somehow, he doesn't go down and makes the play at 1st base like nothing happened. Then it shows a cutscene of him not moving on the ground. They take him out. I go to the injury screen and it says he is out "1-6 days with a black eye." A black eye?! Are you KIDDING me? In real life, that would have probably knocked him out for the season with reconstructive face surgery. Just thought that was kind of funny.

In my season, Adam Dunn nailed Luke Hochevar in the face and he immediately crumpled to the ground unable to make the play, and unable to continue. After the game I checked the injury report, and he was on the 15-day DL, out between 2 - 3 weeks, with a broken nose.

So, obviously, you need to get your sissy boys into the weight room and get some power behind those swings.

Had this happen in '11 (It was a co-op online game, so the lingering injury discussion is moot - I'm not sure injuries are even turned on for this mode):

Good stuff, at least there's these type of injuries in the game...
All they need to do now is add charging the mound(for real, not the "walk towards the mound and cut the scene")

I've hit a million pitchers and never had them get hurt, injuries on, I'm waiting though, it will be awesome when it finally happens.

This is weird because I have seen guys get hit with a liner in a face a few times, and they have always been fine. : S

I played my 3 game series with the Nats last night in my Marlins chise. Game 2 Strasburg was the starter. He actually got a base hit but was thrown out on a fielders choice and he slid into second to take out the double play. He was limping around and went to his knees.

He is day to day with a knee sprain.

Agreed! I have never had a pitcher get hurt by getting hit with the ball.
