How about bringing NCAA back to PC
Stop the ridiculous excuses for not having either NCAA or Madden on PC. 2K has their games on PC and so is EA's soccer games. There are many people that would like to have this on PC instead of a console.Roll Tide Roll

Re: How about bringing NCAA back to PC
EA will never bring Madden back to the PC. Per an old thread, http://www.operationsports.com/forum...fl-online.html, the only thing they ever thought about was bringing a Browser-based game but that never happened.
NCAA has never been on the PC so don't be shocked when they never make it to the PC.--
Have you ever wanted to coach or play basketball at the next level, but something prevented you from achieving that dream? Fret no more. Ask me about SimWorld Hoops to see how you can create your virtual self, and follow your path from the prep-level to the pros.

Re: How about bringing NCAA back to PC
It's n excuse for the only company that has the only football game not to enable it on most all systems. For a company like EA they shouldn't have any problems expanding to other systems.Roll Tide Roll

Re: How about bringing NCAA back to PC
Piracy is an issue, though. With Madden and NCAA, you'd either wind up paying a high subscription fee for the game to be played online, like World of Warcraft and Minecraft, or it would be pirated at a ridiculous rate, kind of like FIFA, PES, Skyrim...and pretty much every game ever made for PC.Texans - Cougars - Astros - Rockets - Dynamo - Chelsea - LightningComment

Graphics shouldn't be an issue. Any modern PC should be able to easily run Madden graphics. FIFA and 2k's graphics are clearly from the next-gen version on PC, and my year and a half old laptop can run those games.Texans - Cougars - Astros - Rockets - Dynamo - Chelsea - LightningComment

Re: How about bringing NCAA back to PC
Let's see, piracy being a huge issue. Lots of 3rd party titles that get a PC version usually don't come out for a couple of months after the console version, which would not work for madden because of the limited development cycle. The most important point is that madden is all about the "stick skills" playing with a mouse and keyboard is not very effective. So you would just be playing on a gamepad for PC. It would honestly be a waste of time given the issues that we currently have with the console versions. Honestly for such a niche market it's not worth it, maybe if they made a Head Coach game for the PC I believe that would work much better.Comment

Re: How about bringing NCAA back to PC
There isn't much going into making a port. They could have their "B" team trainees make a PC port from the core game.
Piracy will always be an issue. You can pirate console games quite easily now as well. EA has Origin on PC to curb some of the piracy.
However the United States is consolized. Europe is more PC centric. That is why football games like FIFA and PES are ported onto PC.
The only thing stopping them is a shallow market. They have Origin set up for drm and digital distribution. They have many "online" features for each game that could integrated into Origin (facebook, twitter, dynasty pages, etc).
I assume modding scares them too. It would require them to do something innovative to make users by the next year's version. Rather than simple fixes and features.SOONERS |THUNDER |COWBOYS | CHELSEAComment

Very true, People deserve a port. This is exactly what they would get in madden came to PC. Then there would be people complaining about the lack of polish of the game and it's inability to use there systems full potential. There isn't much going into making a port. Re: How about bringing NCAA back to PC
The piracy excuse is used way too much for a company as large as EA. Why put Sims year after year on PC? Its on xbox and ps3. So are the Star Wars games. This excuse is used way too much to cover that they just dont want to take the time to make football on PC.Roll Tide Roll
