20 Games into Franchise and No Stolen Bases

I've never had this issue in prior releases. My steal ability and frequency are both at 7, yet no one runs. Even Drew Stubbs, who has really good ability and speed, never attempts a steal. What gives?

Are you talking about your team?
With Auto Baserunning on?
You have to prompt them to steal if so.

In addition to the previous reply, are you stealing correctly? At first I would try to press L1 and/or L2 when the pitcher went in motion, which yielded subar results. Then I realized that you need to press L1+the base button you're trying to steal, and my succes rate jumped dramatically.

With Auto Baserunning on?
You have to prompt them to steal if so.

They lead themselves on auto baserunning. Also, I've never had to do this in previous versions.

Why would you even use auto baserunning anyway. Its the lazy mans way to the game. You probably play with auto fielding and throwing too.

They lead themselves on auto baserunning. Also, I've never had to do this in previous versions.

You can increase the lead though.
...and they changed it so that the players don't go on their own.
Most steals are manager called...so they went that way.

That's probably his IQ, as for what he is, I don't know. My guess is that he makes his home in the trees.
