Favorite Association Teams

Thought it would be cool to start a thread for your favorite 3 association teams to play with in an association. Lets hear something unique. Not everyone like Lakers, Heat, and stuff like that. Give me a couple teams and the reason you enjoy doing an association with them. I'm gonna do an association mode using a West and East team. My East team is the Pistons. I'm trying to decide on a West team. I want to hear who you guys like. I'm thinking Blazers, Rockets, or Hornets might be good.

i got 4 LAC, i choose lac because its so easy to get the crowed into the game, and they are deep, OKC they are fav team, MEM, they are a very talented team good starters, 76ers 1 of the deepest teams on the game

if you don't care about realistic teams the hornets are fun because they have cap room and a lot of trade value.

Grizzlies-2 dominant post players, Rudy Gay's dunks, great 3-point shooting and rebounding. Also Tony Allen and a deep bench, fast paced
Pacers-good bench, good 3-point shooting, 2 post scorers, good perimeter scoring
Boston-good playbook, good shooting, perimeter scoring, KG, my fav team

The suns its a challenge but you have two great players Nash and Hill but the possibility of them retiring so do you go for the playoffs and hope they don't retire or trade and rebuild?

The Wizards have a bunch of guys with ridiculous trade value, I was able to get a starting lineup of Wall, Derozan (trade), Deng (trade), JSmoove(trade), Love (free agency) out of them

New Jersey NETS, right now I am in the month of January (17-15 record) and I have a solid roster that fits my playing style:

Other teams inside my Association that the CPU did with trades and signings, I'd probably roll with the Phoenix Suns. They look to have a decent squad: Nash, Ben Gordon, Grant Hill, Ersan Ilysova, Marcin Gortat. Bobcats signed Wilson Chandler, so they have something to build around with Kemba Walker. They traded Corey Magette to the Warriors and they are looking pretty solid aswell: Curry, Ellis, Magette, Lee, and not sure who plays Center (I think Ekupo?) but Andres Biedres is on the Bobcats from the Corey Magette trade.

New York Knicks baby!

Perfect squad for my style of play, which is fast paced running and gunning 3 point chucking Mike D'antoni style offense. I don't give a sh*t that melo slows down the offense, I go all out full speed with the knicks, and it is so easy to win like this cuz I am good at defense, and I have won 7 straight championships in association, so I like the Knicks in association.

In no particular order
Celtics- funto rebuild without big 3
Nets- let d will walk in free agency like he is going to irl and try o keep them competitive
Suns- after Nash and g hill retire you basically have gortat and Morris fun to rebuild


As you can tell I enjoy rebuilding projects

I just started Association with the Cavs only because they're in great position for rebuilding. The current roster sucks but they have tons of expiring contracts which means tons of cap space for the offseason. I simulated through the first season and through various trades and signings the team drastically improves.

Celtics - Favorite team; only team for me where you can compete for the title on the current year and rebuild on the next season
Twolves - Rebuild around rubio and love
Lakers - playing kobe until his retirement and at the same time and building up his supporting casts

I am now playing OKC for the first time, and so far because of Durant-westbrook I think this will also be my fave in the future.

Mavs are my favorite Association team, because they're my favorite actual team and with a couple of moves, they can have a ton of cap space after the 11-12 season. T-Wolves are second because Love is a lot of fun to play as.

1. Miami Heat (ONLY because of Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem...ok Bosh is pretty nice too. And trading LeBron because of my total hate and disregard for him, makes it interesting. Usually he gets traded to the single worst team. Then try raiding them of any kind of talent whatsoever so post trade the team looks like Lebron and 11 D-Leaguers. Lol.)
2. Boston Celtics (Garnett has been a fave for years)
3. Atlanta Hawks (Horford...Smith is way sweet too)
4. As you can see most of my allegiance lies with players not teams...so #4 would likely be a tie with the remainder of teams that currently have Gators, and The Bucks cuz I'm Wisconsin born and bred.
