Me and Kelvin are headed to Vancouver to get details on FIFA 13. If you have any questions for the Producers, please post them here.

Re: Have Any FIFA 13 Questions For the Producers?
Can we have fair officials this year? The rest of the broken aspects of the game would be covered up pretty well if they would just stop the blatantly biased officiating. Football games don't finish with 1 foul for each team and there's no rule that says you need to use skill moves to draw them, it's really tiring getting whistled for every single inadvertent body bump while the AI can do the same exact thing, and on top of that just throw your player on the ground to insure they get to the loose ball they just fouled you to create because the game basically refuses to call any foul on the AI if they make contact with the ball first.
To go along with that, can we stop the perfect tackling the AI has? There's nothing more annoying than watching the AI pull off perfect tackle after perfect tackle in increasingly difficult to impossible situations that the game won't allow you to do no matter how perfectly you time it. You can attempt a perfectly fine tackle, one that is certainly makable, and one that isn't vicious, rather than reward you the game will on occasion just have you barrel through the opponent an give away (basically give itself) a completely unfair and undeserved free kick (usually a penalty). Meanwhile the AI defenders will slide through your legs in the box and clear the ball directly to a Midfielder.
That's another problem/question. Will the AI actually be forced to clear the ball this year? If you watch a PL game on TV you'll see the LB/RB clear the ball to no one in particular a combined 5-6 times a game at least, just due to being under pressure. That doesn't happen in this game for a few reasons,
1. Player's have a little too much control over their dribble.
2. Your AI team mates give you no help, if you try and close down on the FB with the ball, they can ALWAYS slide the ball over to their CB because your team mates just track back and abandon the attacking chance.Last edited by DemiGodzillla; 04-26-2012, 10:22 AM.Red Sox, Giants, Knicks, Liverpool FC, Bruins, UConn -
Re: Have Any FIFA 13 Questions For the Producers?
will they fix the uber slow progression of youth players so guys can actually reach their potentials. i have good talent cb come in at a 69. his potential is 85-91. guess where his overall is at after 3 seasons of playing with 2 yrs in starting 11....72ovr. guys will never reach their potential in this game the way it is now. there will be no young superstars 10yrs into a career.Lets Go:

Re: Have Any FIFA 13 Questions For the Producers?
My biggest concerns are the gameplay:
1) Slide Tackling is non-existent in FIFA 12.
Impossible to slide tackle and get the ball or even foul.
2) No Fouls called unless it's in the box.
3) CPU players cut and dribble and anticipate like they are Messi.
4) Sliders for Fouls/Tackles dont seem to be available.
5) Do all teams play the same again?
It would be nice to see a team play Defensive, Possession, Long Ball etc.
Right now, every team is the same.
On the Management side:
1) Speed/Agility should be there for a Young player and shouldnt change much. In FIFA, a young player usually starts off with a low speed and older players become really fast. Doesnt make sense.

Re: Have Any FIFA 13 Questions For the Producers?
1. Will post-match player ratings be fixed? They are always inconsistent and it ruins form in Career Mode.
2. Will there be more variety in terms of how specific teams play the game, tactically and stylistically?
2a. In Career Mode or otherwise, will a team's style of play adapt to their personnel? Or will personnel adapt to team style?
3. More/Different game play sliders? A transfers slider for Career Mode?Tradition Soccer - FIFA League & Community

Re: Have Any FIFA 13 Questions For the Producers?
Only one question... same question the last three years.
Will we see enhancements to the online league feature as it stands today? Clearly from the devoted forums to online leagues on the ea website, the user base is struggling with online league management. What progress can we look forward to here?Comment

Re: Have Any FIFA 13 Questions For the Producers?
Any changes to AI and the way different teams play the game in offline mode?
Are Defenders going to defend more aggressively or are they just going to jockey all the way back to the 6 yard box again?Last edited by JimmyDeicide; 04-27-2012, 09:32 AM.Comment

Re: Have Any FIFA 13 Questions For the Producers?
I agree with the suggestions related to improving fouls and tackling mechanics.
I would also like to have the ability to play a full season that includes league fixtures and various cups/tournaments for your squad (meaning, no longer having to play a season and cups/tournaments separately). If there is a way to do this already, forgive me. I'm a noob.

Re: Have Any FIFA 13 Questions For the Producers?
1. Will changes be made to the way replays are saved? In order to upload a replay, you have to go through Replay Theatre...seems like that's just a middle-man.
2. Will we have the ability to edit Kit Name, Commentary Name, and Nationality for OFFLINE rosters? Currently they are locked in-game.Tradition Soccer - FIFA League & Community

Re: Have Any FIFA 13 Questions For the Producers?
-Are there going to be any changes to the fouling system this year? (AI fouls not being called by the ref and perfect tackles)?
-Will we see defenders (realistically) clear their lines?
-Are crosses too close to the keeper still going to be an automatic grab for them?
-Will midfielders drop back deep to cover a defender pushing far up the pitch?
-Will there be changes to transfers in career mode regarding the amount of players leaving in a given window as well as predictability (certain players ending up at the same club >75% of the time)?
-Will players sprint for a loose ball? Far too much standing around or watching
-Will there be changes to the current physics of the game in any aspect?
-Can we save our custom squads for online play?
-Any new commentary?
-Changes to presentation regarding derbies, rivalries, and big games?
-Will teams play differently from one another and will different leagues play differently (IE. will Stoke City play radically differently than Manchester City? and will the physicality of the Premier League be evident versus the technicality of La Liga).
-Will AI coaches make tactical changes? This is on two fronts, one: when going down to ten men in a single game or down a goal with 10 left, and two: last match-day of the year and needing a win to stave off relegation or 2 goals to win the league.
-Will online play still be this season format they introduced or back to random head to head?
-Any new attributes this year?
-Any new stadiums, teams or leagues?
That's all I can think of for now. Hopefully I'm not too late.Iowa Hawkeyes | Chicago Blackhawks | Manchester City

Re: Have Any FIFA 13 Questions For the Producers?
Basically I would just like to know how they plan on fixing the following:
Gameplay
- Complete lack of CPU fouls/cards
- CPU rarely getting called for handballs, especially in the box
- CPU performing 45 degree cuts to get around your players (no skill moves, just randomly running in angles)
- CPU defenders catching up to your attackers no matter the speed attributes
- Noticing the difference between clubs in the same league, as well as difference in leagues
- Can we please get major improvement in how our CPU teammates behave? I have guys who watch the ball roll right next to their feet, or instead of charging for a loose ball they turn around to "defend" and give up the start of a counter
Questions about Manager Mode:
- Will we see any new/major additions to MM?
- Can we get an increase in the money earned by completing goals depending on our club? (I get 10,000 for advancing a round in the FA Cup as Chelsea... come on. I could see that if I was an nPower 2 team)
- Can we have an option to turn transfers off during the summer/fall window in the beginning of a MM?
- Can we have a more lenient board for our club depending on history/current ranking? (I pick worst team in nPower 2 and my expectation is to win the league and if I'm not the table leader at the midseason review there's a 75% chance I get fired)
- Can we get a better fatigue system and actually give us a reason to have a good squad from the bottom up?
- Can we have International call-ups for players on each squad? (Like PES has where you can't play a player during that game if they have International duty)
- Can we get a dynamic feel in the difference between a league game, a cup final, champions league final, derby, etc?I may be a Gopher fan for life, but St. Cloud State Hockey is where it's at!
